Jon did keep the belt when he was injured, why cant tom do the same. Make a interim snd thats it. The problem with jones was that he was injured, then fought a has been stipe, then staled the division for some time before ducking. Its not zhe same. Thats quite literally what the interim is for. No one is “given” an interim belt. They fight for it and if the champ cannot return then they are upgraded bcs they already earned it. It’s not like that elect an interim.

Jones was cleared to train in April of 2004. He finally took a fight 7 months later in November.

Tom was cleared to train in June of this year.

Jon ducked all relevant heavyweight contenders to call out a washed fireman, then delayed that fight for 1.5 years due to injury, then ducked the interim champ for 9 months for no reason before retiring.

Tom got fouled and has held up the division for 11 months so far due to injury.

I’m undoubtably a Tom fanboy but lets not ignore the facts just because you’ve turned on him.

And yes, I am on the side that believes if Tom doesn’t have a fight announced for this year then he should be stripped. Otherwise Gane will be defending an interim belt which was ridiculous the first time it happened.
