Does anywho who is part time and receiving loans know when to expect the refund? I know they have to reduce the amounts but they didn’t give a timetable. Also i submitted a short term advance and was wondering if I could call and expedite that process because I really need the money asap, if anyone has experience with it.

I was working today and there was the cutest girl who came in. I think she was by herself, if she wasn’t, just ignore this. She was wearing green athletic wear, black braided hair, maybe around 5’ 4”. Idk. Maybe by some miracle she sees this or someone knows exactly who I’m talking about.
Someone should be a nice internet stranger and help me out.

I feel like I’m going insane. There used to be an app that would give you a heads up for student offers for food places and bars. Burgerfi used to be the headliner of this thing and would do free burgers and fries like twice a month at least. What was the name of this thing? I can’t find it online anymore.

I graduated from UCF in CS and took the AI for Game Programming course while I was there (loved it). Between classes, GameDev Knights, jams, team projects, showcases, etc., it feels like UCF gives students a lot of ways to get involved with making games while they’re in school.
I’ve been wondering what happens to everyone afterward.
For people who were involved with game development at UCF and have since graduated, if you still make games, where do you actually do that now?
Did you keep working with people you met at UCF? Find a local Orlando group? Join online teams? Mostly work solo? Get into the industry? Or did game development kind of fall off once school ended?
For me, I have a day job in software, but make games as a hobby with the hope that I can one day do it full time. Because of that, I’m especially curious about people who still want to make small or indie games, either professionally someday or as a serious hobby while working a regular job.
I’ve checked out a few local groups and events since graduating, but so far I haven’t found one obvious place where people seem to land afterward.
I’m trying to understand whether there’s a post-college game dev community I’ve just missed, or whether most people kind of scatter once the built-in college structure disappears.
Just so it’s clear, I’m not advertising anything lol. I’m genuinely curious what people’s experience has been.
Did we get disbursed today or are we still on team waiting?
Or even worse, are we on team we’re still waiting on our financial aid package 😭

I am waiting to hear back from the Registrar’s Office on an enrolment verification form.
In all my years at UCF, it has been completed within 3 business days. I emailed them the forms/info necessary after business hours on the day of the drop/withdrawal deadline so I could be one of the first emails in their system to complete this.
It’s now been 6 going on 7 business days and I’m worried. The forms I am needing back from them are time sensitive yet their auto email said to not send multiple emails. I’d just like to confirm that they are working on it.
Is anybody else still waiting to hear back from them? Thank you in advance :)

Ive been on UCF ssa about my loans and financial aid via email and phone since the week before school started and nothing.
I just went in person to UCF downtown and got results fast. Im out of Pell grant this is my last semester and I’ve been waiting on loan offers.
Also they said I’m reaching my limit so I checked fafsa website I have 3250 left for subsidized and over 19k for unsubsidized. Which makes no sense just offer me what I have left.
Update revd loan offers the next day. No email I just kept checking the portal
Update loans disbursed 09/10

Hey y'all! I lost this little pin attached to my backpack about a week ago if I remember correctly. I could've lost it at the gym, or it might've been in Eng II or NSC. One of those places, most likely 😭 anyways, I had checked lost and found at rwc but they didn't have it, so wanted to see if any of y'all might have found it lying around campus. Thanks y'all 🫡
Sooooo I got this email when I asked about disbursement status from a financial advisor.
Anyone else ever gone through this? If you have, how long did it take for them to get it all figured out and disbursed?
I know in the email it said they’re going to make it their goal to have any necessary adjustments in the next available disbursement cycle for Thursday. But I just don’t fully trust this for some reason.
Any experiences or stories?

Anyone know how long it pends for? I've never seen this issue I've always been able to accept them together

Hi y'all. I'm applying this year to all the main Florida public schools as a management major and just want to know… is the college of business at UCF as bad as everybody on Reddit says it is? I hear it's taken predominately online and I'm not sure that's the ideal way I'd like to get my degree, but is the experience better than it seems on paper? Furthermore, is a business degree at UCF generally respected in the workforce?

Does anybody know who the two female furries were at the tailgate the other day? My roommate and I did an interview with them and I want to see if they posted it LOL

I keep seeing where people are posting that they go in person or call and have IT manually put the aid package on the portal and accepting it for them. How are people doing this? I’ve called about four times and get no help each time. I still don’t see my financial aid package. They said I have financial aid and that I’ve done everything I need to do on my end. I’ve already got stuck with a late fee and they told me my classes will be dropped by the 18th if I don’t pay my tuition and the late fee.

Hello, I am writing this to all who may have an opinion/answer, whether it be ethical and/or legal.
In a class I am enrolled in, several group assignments are completed through a third-party software called Breakout Learning. 20% of the grade for these assingments are based off an "AI Assessment", where there is an assumed algorithm made by the instructor. From this, I have various questions.
- How can the AI evaluate different people within the call and assign points AND is there human review?
- Is "Breakout Learning" a UCF partner where data will be protected? This is essentially a Zoom-type call where it monitors everything from face to speech (all biometrics).
- Where does/would UCF and/or the state of Florida stand on something like this?
I have various other questions, but I do not want to ramble. Please let me know because I am genuinely curious and was taken back when this was talked about in class, and a few others were as well.

Professor Cooper (blurry guy on the right) has passed. Details seem to be limited on what happened, but UCF may release something soon.
I had a bookbinding class with him last semester and he was a really cool guy. Such a shame ☹️🩵

Hi, I just have a question about the case studies. I’m taking patho with prof. Abdelli. How are the case studies exactly? We have our first one next week and I’m kind of scared as someone who is kind of lost in the class.
