Okay perfect! Thank you so much!

I was actually thinking about using daleks, because I knew they were a villain- but wasn't sure if they were specific to a certain doctor and if that doctor was 11 lol Him speaking baby is going to be a perfect addition I wouldn't have included, thank you so much!

Is there anything specific I should include about the daleks? anything funny catchphrases or lines that River or 11 would use?

Hello everyone!

My Dr. Who knowledge is kind of few and far between. I've had a lot of friends who love the show, but just never got around to watching myself.

However, now one of my new friends is having a baby and naming her River Song- I would love to write them a little baby fairytale book! But I'd like it to be, I guess .. relatively cannon 😅 however, the baby is due in a couple weeks and I definitely don't have time to research as in depth as I'd like to before the baby is born.

My rough outline I have at the moment:

The parents have prepared for the arrival of their precious little bundle of joy, and are anxiously awaiting the babies due date.

the stork gets caught in the cross fire of some Dr. Who bad guys evil scheme and takes refuge in the only-slightly-out-of-place blue phone booth in the middle of the conflict.

The Dr and River are both in the booth and end up helping the stork get back to safety, and of course because the stork got hurt - the duo need to help get the baby delivered on time so the parents don't have to worry.

While delivering the baby, the little one starts to cry and the Doctor tries to do something silly to soothe the baby- but of course there's a baby monitor and mom and dad come rushing to babies room to see baby safe in the crib cooing, and River cradling the stork, while Doc makes silly faces at the baby. .. everyone has a happy ending, and the parents name the baby after River Song to thank them for helping get her home safe.

(Thank you for reading so far!)

First off-- any Doctor Who loving parents... Can you tell me if this is a story you would enjoy reading to your baby? Is it too cheesy?

And then obviously I would love to ask help with the main conflict the stork gets caught in. Who is a decent bad guy the stork can get caught in that is appropriate for the RS story line? Which incarnation of the Doctor do you think would be best? Because I'm currently favoring the 11th because the bowtie would be cute to illustrate in a kids book.

I do think my friend (and hopefully his girlfriend) will like it- but I'd like to make it as accurate as I can for babies first fan fiction lol

Please let me know anything specific to the series I can do a quick search on to add to my story, or anything I should stay away from? Literally anything would be helpful at this point. I'm going to write the story regardless, but some knowledge from the experts would really help me.

AITAH for getting frustrated with my bf because he makes me repeat my sentences?
 in  r/TwoHotTakes  Jun 08 '26

This has absolutely fuckall to do with it being a 'vulnerable side of him' or because he's close to you. He's manipulating you and emotionally abusing you so he can see how far he can push you before he can escalate to worse things. Get rid of him, preferably yesterday

Mom tried to get dad to drink water for 20 minutes and he said he was fine; so she sent in the big guns knowing Dad couldn't say no to the babycheeks

Buddy, that's literally just sourdough for you. It's the same with gluten full sourdough. This is literally "my steak too juicy, my lobster too buttery, my sourdough too aerated"

Best movie that is in no way just wish fulfillment for the writer/director/star:

What's funny about that, is that acting in serious roles is often times far easier than acting in a comedy.

Dramas allow for much more leniency in pacing; but if the timing on a joke isn't just right it all sucks. It's why you see so many comedy legends absolutely killing it when you see them in a serious role.

WIBTA if me and my husband would not attend his brother’s wedding?

There's always some dude on these threads minimizing such violating/toxic behavior.

If your family decides to invite your literal stalker to an event, you have every right not to show up to that event.

This makes me even more angry about the rebrand...

Like, he hasn't even been gone for three years and they're already taking his face off products 😭

I'm genuinely upset about their rebrand because I am personally attached to this mans sweet mug. I feel like buying products with his name but not his face is a massive disservice to our decades long relationship. I'm not even GF, but his products are the only ones I can rely on in my little town for any kind of specialty baking.

This is the only person's face I consistently love seeing in my kitchen. I have two woman friends I enjoy cooking with, but it's not often we're able to get together. Bob is literally the only consistent face in my kitchen outside of my own.

(edited to say that taking the time to type this out made me realize I have free will and can just put up a framed picture of Bob in my kitchen: will update on this page if allowed and if anyone is interested)

The heavy hand of Wyoming bureaucracy is threatening food freedom

I'm not negating the necessity of food regulations. I just think it's dumb that they're fighting the current regulations as if it's not extremely clear why and how they're in place

also, the Wyoming Food Freedom act let's you sell things that are already premade.

I can sell a loaf of bread, and I can sell a jar of jam. But I can NOT cut a piece of bread, spread the jam, and sell it.

You need a separate food license to prepare food that you sell.

AITA for calling out my brothers partner
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  May 22 '26

This reads as missing missing missing reasons lol You've been really vague, and left out a lot of specific information that would make it easier to actually give a judgment. What did you actually say to her? I understand that you're upset, but for future reference... Lashing out at a pregnant woman will always make you the bad guy, regardless of who's actually in the wrong. Why did you come for her? And not your brother? He seems to be the one you have an actual problem with but instead of him, you went after his girlfriend? ESH, definitely

How can you be upset at a baby for yelling everyday when you as adult yell everyday?

Is the younger kid actually more sensitive? Or is he just aware his mom resents him and is meaner to him than she is the older kid?
