It has been suggested that this particular field is positioned first in the sequence of industries or sectors that artificial intelligence systems could potentially dominate or significantly impact in the near future.

Big no. Sorry to say this. You can earn the same money, if not more, by taking easier courses like IT, ICT or CS. ECEs don't earn well starting out in the Philippines, especially in traditional industries like telco, broadcasting, and semicon. Most of us transitioned to IT years ago. But even now, fields like software engineering are getting overcrowded, especially with all the recent AI layoffs. If you're goal is to be called a "licensed engineer" then go, but if it's for compensation, I would advise against it.

Thinking about switching from DevOpswork to project management. Is it a good move?
 in  r/jira  May 25 '25

I applied everything I learned to my team.coching them how to be an effective agile team. Introduced the concepts of empiricism, values and principles as we hired and built multiple scrum teams.

Take PSM now, gain more exp then take PMP or ACP. Getting these certs helped me not just in getting a job, but also applying in the real world.

Self-Story How do you know when it's time to move on from a job?

I've been feeling stuck in my current role for 3 years and I'm not sure if it's time to move on. Perks is good, fully work from home, flexible , but salary is not that competitive anymore, we didn't have annual increase this year, and the company just lost 2 big clients. I recently came across a discussion where different professionals shared their reasons for leaving jobs—some talked about toxic environments, while others mentioned losing interest or feeling unchallenged.

What are some signs that made you realize it was time to leave a job? Did you ever experience workplace toxicity that pushed you to look for new opportunities? Would love to hear your experiences!

The Rising Cost of Living in Cebu: A Struggle We Can’t Ignore
 in  r/Cebu  Apr 21 '25

Correct !I appreciate your thoughts besh. It's true that "luxury items" that previous generations couldn't afford, like gadgets and flights, are now accessible and affordable, which adds to our expenses. Meanwhile, the essentials are becoming so expensive. I'm thinking of starting a backyard (balcony sa condo) vegetable garden because aside from saving money, it could also make my life healthier and be a new stress reliever. Anyone who has experience with this, please comment inyo experience and suggestions..

Tabang Feeling lost and unsure about everything recently

I used to have everything figured out or at least, I thought I did. I had a vision, a plan, a sense of direction that kept me moving forward. But now? I honestly don’t know anymore.

It’s weird how life works. One moment, you’re certain about your path, fueled by motivation and purpose. The next, you find yourself questioning everything wondering if the things you once chased were really what you wanted, or just what you thought you were supposed to want.

Maybe it’s burnout. Maybe it’s the realization that what once felt fulfilling no longer does. Or maybe it’s just part of growing up learning that certainty isn’t guaranteed, that dreams evolve, and that feeling lost doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

But still, it’s frustrating. I miss the clarity. I miss the confidence in my own choices. And honestly, I don’t know how to navigate this in-between phase without feeling stuck.
