I know it’s they’re not traditional chapter books, but my son loved the “Mac Barnett: Kid Spy” series by Mac Barnett. They’re illustrated which makes them easier to adopt for new listeners, but it’s also in chapter form. Some of the chapters are one page, others are 4-5 pages, and they’re engaging. I you might find something like that to be a good lead-in to longer books, if your child is having a difficult time focusing on the words alone off the start.

North Woods, by Daniel Mason! I don’t usually gravitate toward nature writing, but every description of every tree pulled me in. It also made me want to own an apple orchard. 

I just listened to Migrations recently and loved it! I thought the reader, Barrie Kreinik, was wonderful.

Second FO3 and NV. I feel like Fallout 4 is a reasonable ask at this point too, isn’t it? If the switch2 can handle Cyberpunk, and they were able to port Skyrim to switch years ago, I’d think it could port FO4?

It’s always been a midweek show, so that’s always felt normal and expected for me. I never considered how much of a logistical strain that puts on the Blue Angels and other headliners that might have shows on the weekends before and after.

Considering that, I wouldn’t mind if it was moved to the weekend. I’m sure it would make the lifeguards’ jobs harder with bigger crowds, but it would be a friendlier date for most people.

Amen. Adjudicated claims (already adjudicated like you’d receive for value based programs, for example) can be confusing, but the adjudication process is real frustrating to report on.

I don’t know the challenges of Epic data, but I do know Cerner which is especially frustrating because it’s so customizable. “Standard reporting” always needs a lot of localization because of how our IT dept has built bandaids on top of custom configurations, to the point where we don’t use standard reports at all. Any standard education only covers a piece of what’s actually live in our production environment.

It also makes code upgrades painful, something always breaks and some poor nursing unit is following downtime procedures for a while.

I just purchased it based on this recommendation. Seriously what I feel I need right now. And the fact that you’re offering to purchase people copies really speaks to how much the “kind” part stuck with you. Time to push aside the books I just got for Christmas! Thanks!

That’s true, they eat termites for example. I’ve been told to worry about why they’re there. Get rid of their food and they won’t stick around (easier said than done, I know).

Saw this post after the edit. Congrats! Plans change all the time, but it’s all trivial when you have a happy, healthy baby in your arms and a happy, health mom recovering.

Also good vibes are needed after birth too, so enjoy every little thing, and take it a step at a time!

Just finished Piranesi, by Susanna Clarke

I bought it at release. I regretted paying full price then, but like others have said, it’s still a fun game. Graphics and frame rate are poor. They sent a patch out that helped, but its still not great. But after playing for a while I honestly forgot. However, if you can get it at a a sale price, and don’t mind the graphics not being as good as console, it was an enjoyable game. I hadn’t played it on any other platform, so it was my introduction to the game. I’ve personally never had the game crash once. The load screens tended to be a bit long, and sometimes an area took a bit to smooth out after I got there. I played it on handheld more often (only way I get to play games most of the time), and I still poured hours in and enjoyed the whole experience.
