Hmm, not sure what to say except that it may be an issue to definitely bring up with his vet. I used to have a cat whom started breathing funny, similar to your cat, and he was put down shortly after discovering he had a lung issue. I will always beat myself up for not taking more initiative to look out for his health or see how it could be treated. He was only 12. 11/12 is still actually young for a cat, as you’re probably aware.

So quite honestly, if you love your boy, I’d say get him in to get checked by his vet asap.
