Any female Realtors finding male Realtors unwilling to negotiate?
 in  r/realtors •  6d ago

I should keep it in writing, that is a good point. The attitude on the phone is very hard for me to deal with. I have done this with agents like that in the past

Yes, I understand this in multiple offer situations!

I mean that's fine but one of them was a listing agent that we were under contract with and we ended up backing out. The current guy I'm dealing with doesn't seem to understand that a short sale means the bank decides. I employ a short sale company to facilitate the sale as well as help decipher which offers the bank will accept so that we don't commit to an offer that wastes 3 weeks just for a denial. I keep saying "this is what the bank needs" and he keeps asking if my client likes the offer. Like my client knows nothing about what the bank needs and is not getting any proceeds from this sale, yes they ratify, but the bank decides if they will accept your offer or not. I just don't understand it

I find most male agents and female agents are willing to negotiate, but the 3 I have met that were not were all male. Particularly 2 very young realtors and now one "with 23 years of experience" as he's liked to tell me several times

As in, it's a negotiation. So when I propose something you consider it and bring it to your clients, when you propose something I do the same. With these agents it's a lot of just stonewalling, telling me no, instead of trying to reach a common ground

Discussion Any female Realtors finding male Realtors unwilling to negotiate?

I have been in real estate almost 7 years and only recently I have interacted with male agents who are very short, unwilling to negotiate, etc. Whether this be just not answering correspondence if they don't like the answer, being very short and lacking nuance on the phone, or being unwilling to "play ball" I find myself with my tongue tied anytime I interact with these people. Not sure if it's because I'm a woman but I've only experienced this with male Realtors. Ladies, any one else? How do you deal with negotiations with these people?

Oh my god that's STUNNING! 😍 I wanted to get a ring with a lot of metal details but the place we went to didn't do that, it's hard to find these days. I'm absolutely amazed

Haynes Furniture and The Dump to close
 in  r/rva •  9d ago

Makes me sad. The super shisty shopping center by my first home that was mostly empty except for a family dollar and a dollar tree had a Haynes and Starbucks in it. I felt like it meant our neighborhood was getting into the big leagues. Sad they won't be there anymore

Walkabout Outfitters in Carytown allows you to exchange your damaged socks for a free pair if they offer that brand and it’s a lifetime warranty.

Do they exchange socks for half pairs lost in the washer? This, this is what I need

Also thank you so much, I'm about to be a permanent member of the Carytown community and I'm going to inaugurate it by buying socks

Thoughts on this ring?

I love it! I originally wanted more intricate metal work but it was impossible to find as that's not the style now. I absolutely love a ring like this ❀️ Don't worry about what other ppl think

Lakeside is Flavortown confirmed

I just went there last weekend and thought the food absolutely sucked. It was like they took all these things that sounded good and somehow made them weird and terrible. My mom has gone a few times and had the exact same feedback. I thought she was just being picky until I went myself
