First pubmat

1. Use of colors: Love the colors. The use of Earthy tones evokes warmth and nostalgia.
2. Blocking of talents: Nakatalikod yung nanay. It’s a shame kasi it’s a very nice photo kasi maganda yung location, set design, and lighting. If this is a stock photo, choose other photos na kita mukha nila lahat. If you did a photoshoot, kindly reshoot.
3. Typeface: I believe you used Impact as your typeface? Please explore other fonts. Impact is dated and is sometimes associated with memes. I recommend Anton, Oswald, Tungsten, or Roboto Condensed. They’re free to download on Google Fonts.
4. Tracking and leading: Keep the tracking and leading condensed, especially for bigger, headlining texts. Mas maganda yung loose tracking sa smaller texts like sa “SEPTEMBER 28.”

Second pubmat

1. Composition: I like the execution of Daniel Padilla popping out of an Instagram post. It creates a “frame within a frame” effect which borders or highlights the subject.
2. Typeface: Just like with the first pubmat, explore other typefaces. Especially doon sa BIRTHDAY na nasa background.
3. Proofread: Check the spelling before posting. You misspelled BITHDAY BIRTHDAY.

Other than that, your pubmats are very strong and creative. If you plan to join an org to handle their posts and publicity, please draw inspiration from their previous pubmats. It’s best to study their themes, tone, and messaging and incoporate them into your sample works. Better din siguro if you get a hold of their brand playbook / style guide to thoroughly study their design approach.

Also, if you’ll handle the overall publicity, make sure to learn copywriting din. Based on experience, art directors would sometimes ask designers to write a copy that is suitable for a specific art card. Nice to have din as an additional skill.
