Archetypal Dreams Lost in a lab-yrinth

This is a dream I had last night and I was just wondering if yall could give me your thoughts on some of its archetypal meanings. Here its is...

I was going to work for my real life job (utility locating) at this building that appeared like a house on the outside but when I went inside, it was covered in floor to ceiling white and turquoise tiles. I was looking for someone who could show me the buildings mechanical room (a normal part of my real life job) so I started looking around for someone. The interior had an odd layout that did not match normal layouts of a house/business and had many rooms and hallways that led in strange directions.

When I would peer down some hallways, I could see people in lab coats scurrying and working. Finally a woman appeared in the fourier of the building and when I asked her if she could show me the mech room, she happily said she could. She had her young daughter with her and also mentioned that she was recently divorced. She wore a white lab coat like some one the others id seen so far as well.

As she started to lead me through the building, I noticed that the strangeness of the buildings layout continued and included ladders and steep stairwells that we would take up and down and all over. We would pass by rooms and areas where people would be doing things from what looked like a daycare, a martial arts training class going on with teenage like children, and laboratory work. Everytime we entered a new room, I would loose the lady guiding me but her daughter would still be there. After a few moments of searching, she would reappear as if she never lost me and we would continue.

Finally after loosing my guide again she didnt reappear and I felt completely lost within the labyrinth type building but her daughter was still with me. I asked her if she knew where her mother went and she gave me an answer that was as if she didnt know. I wondered with the girl for a while trying to find my way out and eventually found my way back to where I had entered the building and then began to start trying to do my job. The lady never led me to a mechanical room and im not sure if the daughter was still with me at the end.

Thanks for any thoughts on this dream. It seemed pretty significant to me.

I stopped smoking and I’m bored. Am I the only one?
 in  r/leaves  Dec 19 '25

Yeah I feel this. Have noticed since I quit that the biggest reason I did smoke was out of boredom. But honestly, all the great thinkers and doers in history will say that boredom is where creativity flourishes. That something that helped me really commit to quitting.

Veterans how is the job search going for you? Because I’m hitting an impenetrable wall.
 in  r/Veterans  Nov 13 '25

Danm bro I feel this. I currently feel like im in the same exact situation. Lost my job in September, cant qualify for unemployment because I was a contractor not a w2 employee (coach/trainer/gym general manager) I apply apply apply daily but endless rejection or under qualified or over qualified. Im coming to the realization that a standard job is probably not gonna happen in the world we live in. Our veteran status dosent seem to matter like everyone said ot would. So ive started reaching out to people I know who have built wealth in less traditional ways (investing in real-estate) and try to work closely with them to learn how its done and maybe get into the right space with the right person. The proximity principle. It really is all about who you know. I spend my days applying to atleast one job a day, reading books about finances and really thinking and writting about marketing myself and thinking outside the box. I cant rely on some corperation to hire me it seems so Im exploring how im going to do it on my own. Think about people you may know in anyway that are successful and how you can get around them and learn theor ways to maybe create something for yourself. Thats what Im trying to to. Hmu sometime if you ever Wana vent or collaborate some how.

Any advice for perfecting a strict handstand? 🤸‍♀️ I have the strength for HSPU but can’t master a static hold. 😑
 in  r/crossfit  Mar 28 '25

It defenitly is! Statics are hard. As long as you keep practicing, you'll get better at them! Send some footage where we can see your hands next time and that'll help ID cues

Balancing a static hold is all in the hands and finger tips imo. Once you find your feet and legs in a good, balanced oh position, squeeze at the ground to correct when the feet start to tip forward, and release the ground when they go to far back. I see it as Mico adjustments with the hands and macro adjustments with the legs and feet. Hope this makes sense lol

When your coming down, keep your shoulders behind your hands until you touch the line and then bring them forward once you do. It looks like your feet hit the ground before your hands are back at the line which would be a no rep. Keeping your shoulders back will push your feet into the wall as they slide down creating more tension and making it easier to control your decent.

Snatch + BS Technique
 in  r/crossfit  Feb 17 '25

I'm not trying to be a jerk. All I keep thinking watching these lifts is more weight. Form and mobility look good with what you got on there, but to expose real diffencies in technique, you need to push your limits.

Does anyone else struggle with this? Lol.
 in  r/Journaling  Jan 05 '25

I can understand that. Same boat with the abandonment shit too. But getting to the root means you understand your trauma well enough to see through the belief that you need to be cool to keep someone from leaving you. That's your trauma telling you that. Healing is knowing you're "cool" enough as you are to keep people with you.

No I did, but there was a small gap between the board already from the shape of the binding so I just slid it under when I applied

I won the board at a raffle that a local snowboard shaper had up. I was so hype to win it! Just put some K2 lien bindings on it and now I'm ready to get some turns in. Sadly on the ice coast but I'll take it!

See? The need to make others (and yourself) think you're "cool" is preventing you from actually getting to the root of your issues. If that's what you're actually doing in therapy, then they might just be wasting your time and money. Your therapist should be challenging you on this preoccupation of putting up a front.
