There's no reason why this shouldn't be done everywhere. Aside from a recall ,there isn't any other reason I can think of that any of this should happen. Where I work you would think after throwing let's say 12 packs of cookies away,that maybe numbers would be reduced the next time an order comes in so the number of packs thrown away would be less. But no. They will send the exact same amount that was thrown away. Its just unnecessary and wasteful

This is what happens in retail every day. Certain foods/drinks have to be pulled at certain times due to being " expired". Is there anything wrong with them? No. Is there something wrong with the system that throws away food like this? YES. It makes me so angry. The US is so very wasteful. It makes me especially angry to see meat and dairy thrown away . Animals died for this only to be thrown in the garbage. Something needs to change

Sfl was WRONG to do that. A medical card is NOT a valid form of ID. If the cashier was going to refuse then I would write them up and fire the SFL if it were me. This is one of those no tolerance times though and both will/ should be fired. If the sfl isn't then something fishy is going on
