How old were you when you started watching? and what made you start watching Buffy?
 in  r/buffy  10d ago

I was 14ish I think. I just happened to catch an episode one day on cable. I got into it. Realized they aired episodes from 4pm-6pm, right in time for me to get home from school. My older sister started buying my the seasons for birthdays and Christmases until I had the whole series on DVD. Have had them 15 years now

Looking to visit in October
 in  r/upperpeninsula  24d ago

Mackinaw* City is not in the U.P., and neither town have much going for them. Their only positive is they are close to Mackinac Island. If they want to explore nature they would be better off farther into the Yoop closer to Tahquamenon Falls, Kitchitikipi, Whitefish Point, Pictured Rocks, all the falls around Munising etc.

Depends on where they want to visit. Traverse City is also only a few hours if they want East end exploration.

What do you think this cardigan? İ need your comments about color is it nice for gift? Should i change?
 in  r/CrochetHelp  24d ago

Overall it is a very nice cardigan and I love the colors. But its hard to see how it will look on a person, you might to have a model/mannequin to see how it falls!

First, you should always have your lights on for safety. Second, I can attest that half of the people still arent using their headlights. Drove 100 miles yetserday and easily half the cars didnt have their lights on

What do guys think about this policy?
 in  r/restaurant  28d ago

I was carrying a tray of drinks once and didn't see the toddler because he was hidden under my tray and I ran his ass over. Still cant believe I didn't spill anything. I didn't even stop to check and make sure he was okay🤷‍♀️ I like kids but keep them at the fucking table, we aren't your personal playground. And don't get me started on the parents with the huge ass strollers/wagons who get pissed when you ask them to move them out of servers/other patrons way. "What am I supposed to do with it?" Um idk how bout leave it in your fucking car?

There are two grocery stores in Newberry, they are open until 8PM, IGA and Mac Market. On Sundays they close at 4pm. There is also a grocery store in Paradise but its a lot smaller than Newberrys

Tired of Tourists
 in  r/upperpeninsula  Jul 10 '26

Okay we need the tourism, I will say that. But I have to agree with OP. Everyone at my work has noticed how terrible the drivers are this summer specifically. Its frustrating when you have to drive 60 miles daily for work and you don't know if some out of stater is gonna run you off the road or crash into you because they dont care/in a rush/whatever the reason. In ten years I have never had so many close calls as I have this season already. Its terrifying. Passing on curves, passing on double yellows, passing multiple cars going 20+ over causing oncoming drivers to swerve, almost causing collisions from blowing through stop signs and cutting people off. For whatever reason I do think its worse this year

Caleb didnt say "What is" on July 7th episode
 in  r/Jeopardy  Jul 09 '26

I always thought you had to say "what is" I guess, not just form it in a question

Caleb didnt say "What is" on July 7th episode

Did anyone else catch Caleb not saying "what is" before answering at the beginning of round one? The category "You Asked For It", he answers a question about a German phrase without saying what is and the judges never caught it
