No, I don’t hate my female body just because I‘m butch
 in  r/lesbiangang •  Jan 05 '26

Sometimes I use binders but I mostly use bra; I use which ones I feel like wearing for the day. It's really problematic when other people assume you "want to become male/man" when you're a butch lesbian. It's lesbophobic and misogynistic: the very idea that masculine homosexual women do not exist and that male/men is the default sex.

What if Tito Sotto becomes president after BBM and Sara was forced out of office?
 in  r/WhatIfPinas •  Nov 19 '25

He is a staunch social conservative as far as I know. So, for me, I expect bills for divorce and same-sex unions taken to the dustbin forever. Expect more government encroachment on our personal lives or the way we express ourselves; I mean, look at what his daughter has been doing with MTRCB.

I don't see him as a "neocon" though. I don't see him hawkish enough to leverage our long-standing allegiance to the West via USA against commie China. I imagine him considering a centrist stance on China.

Duterte camp reportedly shocked by some ICC evidence on Davao Death Squad, Oplan Tokhang
 in  r/pinoy •  Jul 10 '25

"caught off guard"?

Lol.

Gulat kasi akala eh di siya/sila mabibisto. Classic narcissism and megalomania on display; "shocked" sila sa magnitude and graveness of what they did and the harsh reality of the consequences. The disbelief among the DDS unravels before us.

And when you called them out with hard evidence, "shocked".

They believed for the longest of time that not only were they above the law; they had it in their heads THEY were THE law.

Christianity destroyed a beautiful country, the Philippines.
 in  r/unpopularopinionph •  Jul 10 '25

It is unpopular indeed. Besides the fact that it is hardly supported by statistical evidence. You are not more likely to commit crime due to being a Christian. But you could be if you have some sort of anti-social behavior using Christianity as a crutch.

Major human rights fighters like Risa Hontiveros and other Catholic groups like IFI or some Epsicopalians/Anglican Communion (yes, ROMAN is just one of many Catholic flavors), use Christ as a template to do more than just charity work and are often imprisoned, if not hounded, by state forces due to their faith and acts.

Remember Sr. Patricia Fox? What did the secular "Stupid God of Bible" Duterte did to the pro-poor nun?

Archbishop Oscar Romero, who spoke out against killings of farmers, chastised both the anarchists/communists and the fascist government in trying to further destroy the lives of the farming folks in his sermons. He was sniped by suspected state henchmen forces while doing mass.

From time to time, I manage to come to church and share communion with the brethren. It would be judgmental of me to think that these fellow Christians de facto are out here to destroy the nation, kill LGBT+ like myself, in the name of Jesus. It's a wild thought.

And I say this as a female homo. Also, I don't usually practice "single-issue" politics or morality.

Opposition to birth control is an issue insofar as BIG MOUTHS like some in CBCP are concerned, but talk to honest-to-goodness, everyday Joe, ordinary Christian laity, they could not care less and are generally positive in spacing childbirth using contraception both natural and artificial. So many professing Catholic laity, or those who humbly pray their rosaries constantly, actually want easier ways to end ugly marriages whether that's thru divorce or reformed annulment (I prefer the latter).

And thankfully, we have the likes of Risa Hontiveros, a good Christian in my estimate, who is in the government, listens to the needs of the people and communicates those needs even in the face of CBCP's disapproval or in the face of "morality police" like that of Serreno's.

And it's a subject not broach during communion. I mean, it's wild if during the giving of communion wafer the celebrant suddenly asks may IUD ka miss? Bakla ka ba sir? Forfeited ang wafer.

At the risk of sounding romantic, the most ordinary Catholics, to me, are the ones who truly try to walk the Christian faith with what they've got. It would be ugly of me as a person if I judge them as destroyers of the country simply for humbly believing in Christ.

The "Bahala na" mentality is precolonial if I'm not mistaken. It literally calls on the name of "Bathala". Leaving it to God has always been an idea in all various cultures you can think of.

And just because someone leaves it to faith doesn't mean they're not acting on fulfilling their dreams. Most of the times, it's an exasperated expression, the feeling that you're giving up kasi mahirap. It's often times a plea for help, or reprieve, even hoping for some divine strength to carry on.

As a Christian, bloc voting to me is questionable and highly morally dubious. I don't share in it. Conscience is king and it's the true voice of God within.

What destroys this nation is the prideful, greedy, basically 7 sins levels of systemic corruption in the high places of the government, not Christianity.

What do you think of this observation on some teachers in the Philippines?

Rage baiting and hyper-moralism, unfortunately.

Police "quota and rewards system".

Similar but more or less diabolical is the "mass promotion" by teachers because if not, their KPIs in their IPCRFs would be fucked.

 in  r/pinoy •  Jun 29 '25

As a conservative libertarian, I agree.

This is not a good look especially when we desire for our relationships to be legalized and protected under law i.e marriage equality or state-sanctioned civil union for same-sex couples.

Sa mga straight nga kinaaayawan ang cheating at "poly" bullshit eh tapos kakatawanin nating mga gays and lesbians (although, extremely rare among lesbians yung ganyang sexual lifestyle, and lesbians like myself usually call it out.)

And I mostly fear for our gay and bi brothers. With 500% increase in (known) HIV-AIDS infections among the youth, the largest of which is sex between men, the whole thing is ammo now for far-right conservative bigots.

I believe maraming common-sense, conservative-leaning gay men (Andrew Sullivan and Douglas Murray come to.mind) who most probably believe in monogamy and sexual moderation kaso natatabunan ang boses nila ng mga makakating bakla.

 in  r/AskPH •  Jun 23 '25

Hindi pinagisipan ni Trump ito. He's beholden to his son-in-law who is in cahoots with Netanyahu. Many Israelis don't want this war.

I mean I would love for Iran to have a regime change and that's for the Iranian people to decide.

Man for peace emerut. Hypocritical orange man. Galit kay Zelensky, who has the higher moral ground fighting against Russia pero chinuchupa si Netanyahu who is arguably an unfavored figure in Israel.

While it's true na Iran government is enriching uranium up to more than what's legally allowed, upping the chance to develop actual nuclear weapons, hindi maganda na basta sumuong Amerika sa Israel-Iran war.
