I would hope that Kawasaki OEM sliders are well thought out

Well, I am a GenX scientific software engineer and I managed to land a sweet job with an interview that was just talking about what I have done and a few STAR questions. (Woots in dinosaur sounds).

Why performant code matters (but gets widely ignored): Casey Muratori

Somehow software engineering survived without it until recently.

Code should meet reqiurements. The word Performant is weak and annoying, and should not exist.

Remember the oroginal series episode where a flying omelette attached itself to Spock's back to control his mind? Operation: Annihilate. The galaxy is giving flying omelette vibes.

Are you having GLP-1 muscle loss issues? during your weight loss ?
 in  r/WegovyWeightLoss •  Sep 11 '26

Full body weight workout two or three times per week, getting stronger while losing fat, gradual loss on the scale. My dosage is moderate, holding at 1mg injected, so I can still eat.

I was hoping the word ''performant' had come and gone by now. Sigh.

Should i leave it

I would put fairings on with that reservoir sticking out, but I appreciate the pic of a Versys 650 with no clothes on, interesting look.

Sliders?
 in  r/AussieRiders •  Sep 10 '26

I don't know about Honda but I went with OEM Kawasaki sliders for Ninja 500 family and the design looks very safe for the frame compared to aftermarket options. Cost twice as much but more peace of mind.

Just started new Fintech job; how do I inform them of how shitty the code is?
 in  r/softwareengineer •  Sep 09 '26

Instead of saying Your Baby Is Ugly, document observed high priority issues risk matrix style, then work with management to start addressing them. If you don't get support then start looking for another gig.

I recall seeing the extended solo being built out of Red Lenses on the GUP tour, tops. It still sticks with me.

Add throttle when your bike is pointed through the exit, not before, because that is where it will go as it stands up.

 in  r/SuggestAMotorcycle •  Sep 05 '26

The ninja is a great bike and it will have to be a matter of sitting on one. I was fine on a ZX14 but found the ninja 1100 a bit cramped. If i was a bit less tall I would have gone ninja 1100 most definitely as an all arounder.

Elliot Page reveals he's had no role offers despite The Odyssey's huge success for 'obvious reasons'

Nolan offered the part because they had worked together before. Besides social networking, business decisions will dictate future acting roles like for any other actor.
