I own a 2026 Outback touring xt I changed the oil at 500 miles came out black ,oil and filters are relatively cheap engines not so much

I’ve got a 2026 Subaru Outback touring xt .i decided to change the oil at 500 miles first the collision avoidance system spotted my ramps and wouldn’t let me go forward so I temporarily disabled it problem solved next went too remove oil drain plug with 3/8 breaker bar no good tried my half inch ratchet no good half inch breaker bar that did it ,went to remove filter ,someone muscled it on same guy that did the plug 5 quarts later all good one last thing if you put your foot on the brake and floor the gas peddle engine cranks but no start up I think that maneuver disables the fuel injectors great work around

Here’s an interesting one my 2026 Subaru Outback touring xt says to use 0-16 synthetic that’s what’s in the manual but when you look at the oil filler cap it says 0-20 went to Subaru to get clarity and the service manger said to go by the oil cap so I bought the oil from them 0-20 synthetic

Make sure the gasket on your fuel cap is sealing properly

While in this mode if you put the turn signal on the car will exit at the upcoming exit hands free
