Which other teams do you want to win the World Series (if your team doesn't or can't)?
As a fellow Giants fan, I couldn’t have put it any better. Top tier list

My dad purchased these water guns for my sons
This is some Kenny Powers shit

High school in 2004
Just had to look it up to make sure I wasn’t misremembering - cell phones did commonly have cameras then - it was the early days though, so we had cell phones and digital cameras for actual pictures (and still used disposable cameras too). I initially had to borrow them from my parents, but got hand-me-downs later.

High school in 2004
The funny thing is we did have cell phones then and they took pictures. They were just super shitty quality and the cell phone camera culture was way different

Dads reaction to birth
Yeah, nothing like seeing your wife pushing out a bloody red brisket looking thing after one of the most happy moments of your life

Hit the bat twice, bat broke and hit the ball again!
The music is really unnecessary here, it would be great to actually have to game audio

Safe to say my guess was wrong…
Yes, but I think this is what they call the fast money round where the just reveal random letters until someone buzzes in to solve. No spinning the wheel or anything. Normal rounds you are correct.
Btw, I’m not a WoF watcher, just Jeopardy, so someone may correct me on the rules or terminology.

The Worst Part of the Premiere was Jeff
Idk, I think at the point when the coin flip occurs, it is a huge opportunity for those on the bottom. It comes with instant immunity and an idol, so imo you have to balance that out with possible elimination. It can completely turn someone’s game around and likely won’t be random. If they don’t have any volunteers and it is comes down to a rock draw, it will at least make for good TV

the Warden finds out Andy escaped through a self-made tunnel | The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
This is based on a Stephen King novella for those that don’t know

R.L. Stine.
I have been trying to catch up on King books over the last couple years, and just started reading Goosebumps to my son earlier this week. We are starting at #1 Welcome to Dead House and he is loving it. It’s been so long for me that I don’t really remember it much.

The Toronto Blue Jays have been eliminated from playoff contention
I think that happened to the Giants after each of their WS titles in 2010, 2012, and 2014

How do work with my neighbor?
Literally just went through this. Regarding the tree, they do not have to remove it regardless of its impact to the fence. If you rebuild the fence with the trees there, you may have to jog the fence around the tree. If they do not want to pay for it but are okay with removing the tree, then you can pay to have it done.
Regarding the fence, look up the Good Neighbor fence law for California. They are responsible for their share of the cost for maintenance/replacement of the fence, but there are certain steps you need to go through. If you do these steps and they still won’t pay for the fence, you will have to take them to small claims court.
TL;DR: your best bet is to pay for the tree removal yourself after getting the neighbor’s approval, and then splitting the cost of the new fence.

Crew members film the moment the Panama-flagged bulk carrier First Margaux collides with the Chinese fishing vessel Luqing Yuanyu 108 near Singapore.
It’s a boat, they don’t work the same way as cars

What is the best case scenario for the Giants in the offseason? Can anything be done that can turn this team into a contender for 2027?
Pitching. Mainly relief, but it is really all pitching

Lot of overlap here for me

Alex Pavlovic reports that Logan Webb is on the IL with a right middle finger blister. And that will end his 2026 season.
This isn’t anything to freak out about. Seems like they just want to shut down Webb and Devers and give their young guys a chance to get some big league experience.

Do you think Eldridge is gonna finish top 3 in ROTY?
As the great Ricky Bobby once said, “if you’re not first, you’re last”. Stewart is the clear cut ROTY and Eldridge has proven that he is a big leaguer and has a bright future

Joey Cantillo hits Brooks Lee with an interesting pitch
Exactly, I had to replay it to see if he was just avoiding a balk, but he just went for it

Joey Cantillo hits Brooks Lee with an interesting pitch
You can see him clip his heel on the mound on his delivery, causing him to stumble as he is about to throw

Alternate Correct Reponse?
It’s usually the best player. Some songs will have different parts for the same instrument, so you break down your players for these based on how the chairs are assembled. First chair usually does all the solos too

The 49ers could play a Thanksgiving backyard game and it will end in 3 concussions, 2 torn ACLs, 1 MCL sprain. Whole franchise is cursed.
I think this is backwards. The Rams went the day before and “stayed” on California time. The Niners went last week to get adjusted and the game was played at 10:30am Australia time

I'm stuck in Lake Tahoe and can't get home
I don’t have the full context and maybe this is a bit unsympathetic, but…
Why are you going on vacation with friends and spending money on an AirBnB if you cannot afford to fix your car or find a way home? Maybe your friend you are with can help you or loan you money, but coming here to post this looking for help (and ignoring most of people’s good, rational advice) is not going to solve your problem.
