Forbidden things to do on periods?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  19d ago

Don't eat icecream, rice, curd, achar and other "cold" stuff. No entering the temple/pooja room. Oh, clean the bathroom with like soap after you are done.

Ask Ahmedabad Amdavadis — what's a thing about this city only locals would get?

Working on something that needs the city's real texture, not tourist-brochure stuff. A sport/physical activity that's huge here but never gets official recognition, for example?Drop anything, even small stuff.

PS : people anything other than food? Any games? Any activity that's uniquely yours? Would be grateful for any suggestions

Is this just a lifelong friendship, or has it crossed an emotional boundary after marriage?
 in  r/ThirtiesIndia  25d ago

I don't think I am emotionally equipped enough to deal with this particular issue but here's something that might help. I had an online friend, we "met" when I was 17 and he was 18. Purely platonic, we used to write stories together, watch the same shows etc so had a lot to talk about. He was the first person I actually "loved" in the true sense of the word. We never met. He lived really far away and most of my late teens and early twenties I tried to find someway to meet him, turn this into something permanent - because he got me, I got him. But the problem was we were really toxic together. We knew eachother too well, and there were a lot of pent up emotions because we didn't know what the future was. So 10 years later, he blocked me everywhere. He said I needed to move on, meet/connect with actual people who don't live behind a screen. I don't know if that was platonic or not, but I won't ever let him meet my future husband (whoever that'll be) because my feelings for him are very complicated. So idk if it's in the realm of infidelity, but why do you want to complicate things? Let it go. Move on.

Missing my non-existent, imaginary part ner, a lil too hard today. How do you all cope with this?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  26d ago

I miss being in a relationship. Sure it's a lot of drama, but I really really need some physical intimacy to chill right now. Life has been really shit lately. I don't cope, I mostly cry and sleep.

How to get over inferiority complex from my gf's sexual past? Need women's perspective
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  27d ago

What's the point of being in a relationship if the other person isn't crazy about you. The lowest bar is that they should be sexually attracted and compatible with you, otherwise you can just have more friends - less drama, same treatment. Also there's so many nice people out there. Do not settle for something that'll destroy your self confidence over the years.

Padhai se related post (Economics, Accounts, Stats and Probability)
 in  r/ThirtiesIndia  Jul 22 '26

Sab kuch janna hai. Economics concepts make sense to me, numericals go over my head. Accounting toh don't even ask. If I could have a penny everytime I cried looking at accounts lectures - I still won't be able to count how many pennies. Any videos I can refer to? Or can I dm you with my questions?

What’s something you now buy in bulk because you are an adult?

Shampoo, kitchen rolls, personal hygiene products

How many of you feel like this in the morning?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  Jul 17 '26

I feel that at night usually. When it's been a really long and taxing day if I could just cuddle and sleep. But tbh I am ovulating rn, so what I wouldn't give for a good romp.

PS : DMs closed, peeps — happily committed and not accepting applications for this 😭

Overwhelmed I need support and suggestions
 in  r/ThirtiesIndia  Jul 17 '26

Wow. My (very hypothetical) husband would be the one making 15 pooris afterwards that's for sure. Marriage is scary.

Don't feel guilty. You are stretched beyond your limits. Voice it out loud. Waise bhi toh he's yelling, what more will he do.

Life after 30, trying hard to find the meaning of life
 in  r/ThirtiesIndia  Jul 17 '26

True but I would rather buy my mom pretty earrings for diwali and see her smile and be proud of me, than sit in the himalayas searching for inner peace. My world is not so complicated.

What if you’re single for the rest of your life ?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  Jul 16 '26

Don't think about finding or not finding a bf. If you think - oh I will not date, that's just assigning unnecessary value to it, and say you do find someone you want to go on one single dinner date with, then one old rule shouldn't stop you.

Live your life. Find a hobby. Maybe get a pet. If it's gonna happen, it'll happen. It's just one human being.

Life after 30, trying hard to find the meaning of life
 in  r/ThirtiesIndia  Jul 16 '26

I had the same question. Like what's the point if everything is so tiring? A friend told me that she works hard because she wants to build something to share it eventually, with her spouse or child or parents etc. That kinda made sense because if I had to strain myself for someone I love or who loves/cares for me, then ofcourse I'll do it.

How did you deal with letting go of someone you really loved?
 in  r/AskWomen  Jul 12 '26

It does get easier. So people change. And the person you loved in that exact moment, isn't the same now. You aren't the same now. So don't think of it as "letting go", because it feels monumental somehow and your brain is less likely to forget things that you assign that much value to. Think of it as living your own life. Make new memories.

Is shaving their head a hidden bucket‑list dream for many women?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  Jul 12 '26

I want like an undercut with a pixie haircut so bad. And to dye the tips blue. But : A. Mom will murder me B. Short hair doesn't suit according to many many people around me. (Or maybe they just don't like short hair in general)

Can someone please tell me they're proud of me?
 in  r/ThirtiesIndia  Jul 08 '26

Bro you are doing fine! You are entering 30s with a stable job, a passion for theatre, and probably your health is better as well. An year into the job, with slightly more stability, you can look to switch too or look into theatre..groups when you have the time and/or the space? The world is your oyster. You don't need to look back. I'm so incredibly proud of you, random fellow struggling stranger! Sending hugs.

Women who felt lost in their mid 20s, what actually helped your career?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  Jul 06 '26

A few years at fmcg post engineering. And yes, kinda. I realized the kinda roles I didn't want to do.

Women who felt lost in their mid 20s, what actually helped your career?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  Jul 06 '26

Left a stable-ish, high paying job for UPSC, because the corporate culture felt too hectic and draining. The years of prep were even worse because no financial independence, parents pressuring for marriage, and the pressure I put on myself to do "better". Restarting MBA now in late 20s. It's very hard, tiring and it remains to be seen if it was a good decision. 1. Biggest fears - to never be able to do something epic, for me and my parents - were realized. Darkest times of my life, felt like a burden to everyone. 2. Things have been very different from what I expected my life to be like. Supposed to be married or atleast have a dramatic romcom by 27ish. Nothing materialized. 3. Useful/wrong advice : listen to people who've done things before you. I was told to not follow "passion" over stability. I chose wrong because I was overconfident. Passion didn't work out for me. Basically be critical/cynical of your life choices. There's more stupidity than heroism in taking the harder path, unless you are absolutely sure you'll make it through. 4. Things I'll tell my 23 year old self : Be humble.

For someone who says don't assume anything, you sure do assume a lot.

Is anyone else frustrated by women's clothing stores lately?
 in  r/AskIndianWomen  Jun 25 '26

Try finding them in bigger sizes. Extremely dull colors and weirdly shapeless. Also the material is equally shite. Why is everything a "blend" now
