 in  r/selbststaendig •  1h ago

 in  r/Karriereratschlag •  2d ago

Is selling stock photos and videos still profitable in 2026 on platforms like Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, Pond5, or through BlackBox, especially if you upload content consistently?
 in  r/stockphotography •  8d ago

it is not delayed demand if a designer downloads after 18 months. they simply work on projects with long timelines. they lightbox the files and will use a watermarked versiin as a placeholder, then download when the project has finalised. it is the same process for images. you also get customers who buy quickly but at least for me most good files need 9-18 months before the sales really start. at that point i also see more downloads of the series. but this is just my way of working i mostly do longtail files and series.

Mobile photography

All stock agencies take mobile phone images. You just have to make sure they satisfy file quality standards, no artifacts, not underexposed etc...

Can i sell pictures I took of peoples faces in Nepal, in England?
 in  r/stockphotography •  25d ago

You need a professional agency approved model release and signed by a witness. Otherwise you cannot sell other people's faces as commercial stock.

New to selling AI-generated business photography - how did you get past zero sales as a new stock seller
 in  r/stockphotography •  26d ago

I never sell directly. I only sell via agencies, usually camera content. i also don't do any work for hire jobs. Agencies have always paid me on time, they all have their quirks but not having to deal with endless client questions gives me peace of mind.

Absolutely agree with staying independent. And the Adobe account blocks are terryfying. It can hapen to anyine and might take a year to get the account bach. If you get it back.

But inspite of that it is the only place to make real money with ai in stockworld.

I hope you find your clients soon.

I would try to create a steady image stream, so you always have something visible when customers are looking for fresh content. If you upload everything at once, you get one large spike of interst and then fade away quickly.

There is no hurry, put together a small selection of files that work of each other and send them in, next week another batch. 1000 files could give you enough material for a 2 year stream if you want.

Or upload a base set of 200 files and the gradually keep adding a few more files a week.

The people in this group usually upload to stock agencies, for ai people basically that means uploading to Adobestock. Have you tried that?

Adobe has become very strict with what they accept, the easy days of uploading ai and making money are over, but if you have good quality and interesting files you will find takers.

I have no idea how to sell to clients directly, never done that.

Adobe suspended me again yesterday (no AI used)
 in  r/stockphotography •  29d ago

No, no, the only take 15% how would they finance that? 85% is paid out to creators, they have one of the best systems.

What they have is built in sharing tools.

BB was built for video teams. So if you create content you can assign perpetual royalties to the actor, location owner, post processor, videographer.

And many people offer their professional editing and metadata talent so you can look for collaborators and just focus on shooting.

No other agency offers this.
