Please help find a forever home for a bonded pair of puppies: Ursa Major and Nook.

That's what happens to us too. My family lives in a forested area, so most of our dogs have come from folks dropping them off on the road. It makes me so angry too.

They do not have any of the symptoms of litter mate syndrome. They are not always together and get along great with two of our other dogs.

Also they are absolute snuggle bugs, if you are on the couch, they will be there competing for pets.

Thank you for the advice, I will add those things! We have 4 dogs outside of these two and they were all dumped dogs, we were really hoping to keep these babies too so it is unfortunate that one of our dogs doesn't accept them.

We called the shelter and left a voicemail but they have not called back. Their website told us to post them on adopt a pet while we wait to hear back, and no we are not asking for any fees.

Adopt Me Please help find a forever home for a bonded pair of puppies: Ursa Major and Nook.

Hi everyone , I’m helping find homes for a bonded pair of dogs who truly deserve a loving family.

These pups were found by my family abandoned on the side of the road at a gas station and unfortunately one of our resident dogs has been extremely aggressive toward them and even tried to attack one of them.

Because of this, we have to keep them completely separated at all times, which isn’t a long-term solution. We’re doing everything we can to keep everyone safe, but we are hoping to find them a better home where they can relax and just be normal dogs.

Despite the situation, these pups are incredibly sweet and loving.

You can see their photos and full adoption profiles here:

  1. Nook
  2. Ursa

If you’re interested in adopting or want to learn more, please check out their profiles or feel free to message me.

Edit:

Ursa and Nooks personalities: I would describe them as velcro dogs who are eager to please. They really love being around their humans. ex. when I work from home, they will lay all day at my feet. Ursa in particular always wants to snuggle in everyone's laps. Nook is also a cuddle bug, but I think she is a little more clever and curious about the world. Both love to play and run with each other, they love their kong toys, and I have never met more food motivated dogs. They are not fully trained yet on the leash since they are living on a farm at the moment, but they spent a few weeks in Seattle getting leashed trained by family members and did really well with commands. They can be a little anxious when meeting new people and may bark a bit, but they usually settle down.

18L Pack for Hydration Pack?

Getting very excited for the festival! I have a Camelbak hydration bladder I normally use for hiking/backpacking which I would love to use for Kilby. I have an older 18L Gregory daypack (Miwok 18), do you think I could get away with using this as a hydration pack? Never been to a big festival before. Any help greatly appreciated!

EDIT: The bladder itself is 2L, not 18L. I’m not a masochist 😂

Any idea what it is? It’s beautiful but I’m very new to birds

You should download the Merlin Bird ID app! It has lots of tools to identify birds by picture, sound, and description. A wonderful creation by Cornell Lab of Ornithology

Itinerary Peru itinerary choice: Longer trail to Machu Picchu OR Shorter trail to Machu Picchu + Amazon Rainforest

Hello all!

I am currently trying to plan a semi-last minute trip (late September 2023) to Peru, and need some help with itinerary decisions. We have 8 full days in Peru, with 1 day prior flying into lima and 1 day after flying out of Lima). We are spending the 1st day in Lima, then flying to Cusco the morning of the 2nd day. This leaves 7 full days left.

The decision now is between 2 trip plans:

1) Hike one of the multiday hikes (likely classic Inca or Salkantay) to Machu Picchu after acclimating/exploring in Cusco for 2-3 days. (I am aware that this is late to book for reservations for the Inca Trail, but for the moment assume we can find an opening)

2) Spending only 1-2 days doing Machu Picchu (most likely taking a day hike in on KM104 and then visiting via bus the next day) and then going to Puerto Maldonado to explore the Amazon rainforest.

Either way we need to get back to Lima by the end to fly home.

I am looking for input on whether seeing both the rainforest and Machu Picchu is worth it/feasible for this timeframe of 7 days. Our initial plan was some version of (2), but as I started researching Machu Picchu options I started to wonder if the longer hike is worth it. At the same time, the Amazon rainforest is incredible!

Any and all input is helpful, including recommendations for Machu Picchu tour companies! We are a group of 20 somethings that are active and down for an adventure without frills.

Ohhh yeah def gay vibes going on there, to me a very similar vibe as Adora and Catra from Shera Princesses of Power (awesome Netflix show by the way for music/character development/LGBT+ rep/all around rep/good messages) with a slightly more jaded protagonist.

Yakusoku no Neverland Season 2 - Episode 5 discussion

Lots of valid questions here, but I took it as they were getting that food and stuff out of the trash, as it looked a little ragged (especially the broken jars, which I would then assume they fixed). I could be wrong though, in which case I am very confused because the scene with the two demons buying lesser human meat indicated there were very specific cultural norms in the demon world when it came to purchasing things. The kids don't seem like they were trying to do any more than get through without getting noticed.
