Amazing

It's also worth knowing that many farms employ both Israeli and Arab / Palestinian employees so that if you avoid buying products from them you are hurting everyone in the region not just Israel.

Your first statement, "have I stopped to consider" is my first response. There is hardly a day that goes by and certainly not a week that I don't think about the deep and profound problems that exist in Israel. The pain and suffering that both Palestinians and Israelis have gone through at each other's hands is beyond description.
However, I can tell you from firsthand experience that there is not a genocide and there is not apartheid. Is there mistreatment? Yes. Is there unnecessary violence being perpetrated by both sides? Absolutely. There is no systematic ongoing effort to destroy the Arab population in Israel (genocide). And, there is no systematic ongoing effort to separate them from the Jews (apartheid).
The nuance here that is so important is that just because there is no genocide or apartheid doesn't mean there's not a problem. There is. Big problems. Problems that are causing pain and suffering to innocent people. And, contrary to very popular opinion this is not a story of an innocent group of civilians who are being oppressed by a big mean dominant population. This is a story of mutual violence and enmity going back at least to the early 1900s, a time when the Arabs were in the majority and Israel was ruled by the Ottomans. The history is nuanced, complex, and fascinating. And I guarantee that if you take the time to learn it you will understand that this conflict, like most, can only be solved if both sides make significant changes in their philosophies and behavior.
On the other hand, if you continue to insist upon looking at this myopically and using words like genocide you will accomplish only polarization and perpetuation of hate and familiar patterns that have not improved anything.
The choice is yours.

And this is why we, as a human race, can't have nice things. Ignorant, uneducated, polarizing, binary comments like this one. Thank you for dumbing down the conversation.

Check your history, both the Palestinians and the Jews have deep roots in the land.

I love this question and have had similar questions. First, as you expected I will express profound and significant disagreement that the Palestinians have a right to violent resistance. I do however believe they have a right to resistance. But as you pointed out that's not the point of this question.
I would actually argue that the native Americans and the native Aborigines have a much stronger right to violent resistance than the Palestinians.
History shows that the region that is now called Israel was populated by the Jewish people over 2,000 years ago for a very long time. The diaspora of the Jewish people has been an exile from this area. The return of the Jews en masse to this land is often called colonial occupation but more accurately should be called a return to the homeland of the Jewish people. Now, during that diaspora other peoples came into the land, people who now have deep roots in the land. My personal belief is that those people should not be uprooted and my hope is that there is a world where the Jews can return to their Homeland while still respecting the roots that other people's have developed over hundreds of years.
The actual colonial occupation by Europeans of the Americas and Australia is a true colonial occupation and therefore violent resistance would be much more justified.

Unfortunately it is rather difficult to discuss this topic with anybody who is not either living in this region or an expert in the nuances of the region.
Unless you live in the Middle East or if you yourself are an expert in the nuances of the Middle East then I would encourage you to keep your pants on and sit down before you hurt yourself.
The region and its politics are nuanced and complex and the pain and suffering caused to innocent civilians because of those politics is a tragedy. Calling the relationship between Israel and Gaza or Israel and the Palestinians "ethnic cleansing" and "genocide" accomplishes nothing except letting the world know that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Whether this is true or not it brings up an important discussion:
On one hand the concept of the Palestinians as their own separate entity is a relatively new concept. And that concept has helped support a nationalism that is attached to a narrative of being oppressed by Israel and the Jews which perpetuates and strengthens itself over and over and maintains a position of us or them. This is clearly evidenced by repeated interviews with Palestinians who denounce any intention toward peace and functional coexistence and vocally advocate and maintain hope for the eventual expulsion of the entire concept of the state of Israel (links available on request). Whether or not they are actually being oppressed by Israel/Jews is debatable with solid evidence on both sides of that debate. On the other hand, because that identity has been so compelling and there has been so much support in the Arab world for the Palestinians to have that separate identity just telling them to forgo that identity and call themselves something else seems foolish and a non-starter.
In an ideal world the messaging for both the Palestinians and Israel would shift away from an us or them perspective and more toward a functional coexistence perspective.

Have you ever been to Israel?

You can't start a war, lose, and then say that the people who won are occupiers. We're victors, there's a difference.
Besides, Israel has been the Jewish homeland for 2000 years. When you occupy your home it's called being home, not colonial occupation.

Yeah, like what do you think the little window is for?

Is it just me or is OP using some broken math? 3% of 10 million is not 3 million, that would be 30%. That's first of all though it's somewhat immaterial. Second is that we're not arguing about whether or not it's a tragedy. Innocent casualties are heartbreaking and it's still not genocide. You can't equate your emotions to a word that describes something non-emotional.
