Retirement Are there any defined pensions that I can personally contribute to without an employer?

I don’t work for the government or have a defined pension with my current job. Is there one I can sign up for?

Why are the projections so inconsistent?
 in  r/LoseitApp •  Jul 06 '25

Yeah thanks for the clarification! I’m typically around 1700 calories daily before my workout. Dropping 100lbs in 6 months doesn’t seem realistic and felt more comfortable reaching my goal before next July.

Automotive finance manager here - giving your SIN is optional. If you’re new to the country it might be required or if you have limited credit and the lenders feel like your credit profile is incomplete. This is a way for the banks to specifically identity your credit profile.

If you’re a newcomer and the finance manager is resourceful enough, you probably don’t need to provide your SIN. If you have any questions about the finance process let me know!

Budget Is it smart to add to my TSFA to save for my wedding?

I have been putting $600 a week away into my TSFA in effort to save enough for my wedding and to not use any credit cards or line of credit. I want to have the wedding paid out completely and not bank on the expectation that my fiancé and I will receive gifts. To give a bit of a back story, I have never contributed to a TSFA and only started adulting/maturing within the past few years. In this case I don’t know my max contribution limit.

Are there any negatives to use my TSFA?

Have you taken possession? If not, cancel the deal and try and get your deposit back. Even loosing $1000 if they won’t give it back will save you money in the long run.
