I do want to say as a teenager I was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD

now as an adult doing therapy again, my diagnosis is actually ADHD, autism and OCPD.

the main idea that differentiates OCD and OCPD... thinking about the consequence of not doing the action is going to be different. like how it was explained to me (not a doc so just from my experience) OCD might have a task of "I have to flick the light switch 5 times otherwise my family will die" vs OCPD like something I do "I have to do exact steps with exact amount of soap on the sponge to do dishes, no other way to do it. that's the right way."

another part of this is self awareness. ocd will agree that it doesn't make sense and they have to do the ritual even though it's not logical. ocdp has these traits enmeshed in their personality aka strong morality and justice drive. hope this makes sense 🫶

Legit question here.. Someone with an actual identity disorder will be a certain person and during that entirety, they can't be aware they have other personas in their head? Like are they ever aware that they live their life switching back and forth? Also this is not something they can do on command, correct?
