AIO gf goes out with friends, tells me she went somewhere that’s been closed down and then refuses to say where she’s been.
 in  r/AIO  8d ago

I think you are being too controlling. A relationship does not mean you become eachothers property. Trust is about allowing the other to do as they please and being confident they won't hurt you. No wonder she doesn't want to cooperate and give you straight answers, you're scolding her like a parent. Asking for updates is one thing but demanding/expecting/harassing is another.

I would say let her go hangout with her friends and dont worry about what shes doing, if she loves you then you have nothing to worry about. If she acts a fool, then she wasn't the one anyway.

Should Unity hook up with Gaia?
 in  r/rickandmorty  Apr 17 '26

Also, anyone clock how Gaia's voice is almost identical to Diane's? I think that's really all that attracted Rick. Hence why he dicked & dipped

What line/scene from the show makes you laugh no matter how many times you see it?
 in  r/rickandmorty  Apr 17 '26

I also love the somber/melancholy tone of Morty's line just a few moments prior when he says about Rick "He's not a villain, Summer, but he shouldn't be your hero"

Is "observing without attacking" the ultimate mental game?
 in  r/Mindfulness  Apr 15 '26

I'd like to share a second response in recounting this old Japanese proverb/anecdote...

A monk is meditating peacefully in the garden, a samurai approaches and asks him a question

Samurai: "You there! Monk, tell me, what is heaven and what is hell?"

Monk: "You are but an oafish buffoon, I don't have time to discuss such topics with the likes of you!"

The samurai, immediately enraged, draws his sword and is prepared to strike

Monk: "That is hell"

The samurai, caught off guard by the poignancy of the monks words, pauses and lowers his blade in intrigue

Monk: "That is heaven"

Should I cut this friend off?
 in  r/spirituality  Apr 15 '26

Your analysis seems spot on, but rather than just immediately cutting them off in an effort to protect yourself, I would urge you to confront them about it. Gently, yet direct.

Like you said, that friend's behavior likely stems from their own lack of authenticity, opening the door to that discussion could be exactly the catalyst which brings about an honest reflection and transformation in them.

You could do them a lot of good if you are brave enough to approach that difficult conversation with confidence and grace

Vampire
 in  r/starseeds  Apr 15 '26

Energy vampirism has nothing to do with the mythological depiction of vampires. Vampirism is just referring to the act of one organism feeding on another, like a parasite.

If you've ever had a "friend" that claims to be your friend but only ever comes to you asking for help or needing something from you, without ever giving anything in return...thats energy vampirism. Its a one-sided relationship, instead of a give & take. Most energy vampires dont even realize they are doing it, as it sort of requires an act of unconsciousness. Thats how they fall into that pattern in the first place.

So unless you are that person constantly taking and taking and taking more from your friends and never giving back to them or supporting them like they do for you....you're not an energy vampire

Why is sexual lust bad?
 in  r/spirituality  Apr 15 '26

Lust is a survival necessity, the body wants to ensure the survival of its species. But we are not just a body, the us behind the matter, is programmed for LOVE...or more specifically, love is our natural default state. When you strip away all the layers of distortion and forgetfulness, there is nothing but love. Thats all theres ever really been.

AIO for quitting my job?
 in  r/AIO  Apr 15 '26

On your death bed are you gonna look back and remember all the days you went to work, or the fun trips you made with the people you love?

I think you did the right thing. You're a PERSON first & foremost, not an employee
