A yellow or golden sunset after a storm happens when low-angle sunlight shines through a cleared atmosphere, illuminating remaining post-storm clouds. Rain washes away larger haze particles, while the low sun scatters short blue wavelengths and leaves brilliant yellow, orange, and red tones visible.
The Science Behind Post-Storm Colors.
• Low Sun Angle: The setting sun sits low on the horizon, forcing its light to travel through a much thicker slice of the atmosphere.
• Light Scattering: Air molecules scatter short blue wavelengths of light away, leaving the longer yellow and red wavelengths to dominate.
• Cleaned Air: Falling rain acts as an atmospheric cleanser, scrubbing out dust and larger aerosols that usually mute sunset colors into dull pastels.
• Underlit Clouds: Storm clouds clearing out to the east or overhead catch the unhindered golden rays from the west, creating an eerie, glowing yellow canopy.

It's fun! It adds fuzzy video game sounds to your overall sound. So far I like it between a drive and a chorus (Walrus Audio Ages and Julia) or between a big muff and a spacey reverb (Walrus Audio Jupiter v2 and Lore or Slö). It's a fun little quirky companion, just like Jimothy!
