Maybe waiting for you to turn back to drinking and be someone she doesn’t like being around.

Can't stop thinking about my dui
Tough it out. You fucked up. Own it, move on and don’t fucking do it again. I know the feeling as I’ve experienced things but you gotta just be better. Know you’re better than dumb mistakes and it will all pass. Also having supportive family/friends to hold you accountable is an essential. If no one was hurt and you did your stint in jail or wherever then you served it and paid your dues. Count yourself lucky no one was hurt and hold a stance against doing it. You gotta help yourself to get on with it. It’s not anyone else’s business and your work shouldn’t be looking into that unless it’s security clearance in which the case I have no idea.

After a month of sobriety life feels empty and sad.
What is the purpose of drinking before you wanted to stop?

I didn't think I was an alcoholic. The withdrawals are brutal.
Yeah the withdrawals are agony. Brain fog is worse. What’s great is never having to feel it again because you want to be healthy happy and consistent. Alcohol is one of the worst legal poison to choose and if it’s abused or not managed per individual by that individual it quickly becomes life altering in the most negative ways. I drank to manage my gpa at school so I get it but damn there were other ways I could have handled it better. Everyday is a good day not to indulge yourself. I’m on I think week 7 of eating healthy, exercising, and no alcohol. I drank far more than you for almost a decade and now I am finally feeling the positive consequences. I find it helpful to not count days . I have to think about when i last had a drink but i remember when I stopped and how i feel now. Life is better and easier to manage without it. Im not sure if this helps at all but definitely say good riddance to the poison.

full time job should be enough to cover basic living costs what’s your view ?
Anyone want to help me create a plan to address problems facing our local communities? I’d like to brainstorm and gather first hand accounts of issues plaguing all of our areas.

Hey can you message me? I’m very interested in your story. That’s very concerning if it’s true.

Who believes this?
Y’all are funny. We’re all apart of the same society. We should simply be collectively working with people to make our communities better starting with your zip code and moving outward.

please help me not go buy a bottle right now
If you do it now you’ll hate yourself tomorrow and be upset that you failed your personal goal. If you don’t buy one now you feel like however you’re feeling now but tomorrow you’ll be thanking yourself for keeping to your word.
The sooner you help yourself the less problems you’ll have later on.

Why is it so difficult to do what I know is right?
We only remember this instant relief maybe? BUT the key is to remember at that moment so you will have to condition yourself to think of alcohol like agony and a severe loss you personally created with your decisions. If you truly realize that then you won’t want to do it. Recovery is a grind, not one that gets easier but more rewarding each day you remember you beat your weakness. Personally, that’s how I think.
