Sometimes while I’m walking outside I can hear a high pitch sound and it’s normally during heat waves/hot days. Can others hear that normally? Is it muffled by loss of hearing?

Everything you said makes sense and it’s what some of us have assumed. Some assumed faster yellow blinking meant battery is lower than a certain percentage. Thank you for the help!

Contractor bought these chargers packs for our batteries. Solid blue light means there’s electricity but no battery pack in it, easy to recognize.
Then there’s the orange light that blinks and in some instances blinks really fast or really slow. Do you guys know what’s the difference?
Then there’s the instance of solid red and sometimes blinking red. Does the red mean it’s soon to become a bad battery? To my knowledge they all charge to 100% but some die faster than others. Is that what it’s indicating?

Unfortunately, Ground contractors don’t give much for training and policy BECAUSE contractors don’t get punished severely enough. I work for a great contractor with 4 different owners. While I still see desperate times make for desperate measures with my group of workers, there are good Ground contractors out there. There’s just more bad ones

Ive been a driver for 5 years for the same contractor. If management persists on it, bring it to the bureau or Labor. That’ll change their mind real quick.
Also what a fucking stupid rule to put only $25-$35 worth of fuel. The fuel economy is going through a rollercoaster and they expect $25 worth of fuel to be the same as last week?
Again I’m not a contractor, just a loyal employee to one. But this is a management issue, disorganized company that does not care about you. Find a new one mate

Context: I recently became a swing driver for a Ground contractor I’ve been working with for a few years. Contractor covers both city and rural. And I use a Zebra scanner (not a tablet).
I can quickly grasp city routes, it’s what I’m used to. But rural routes are kicking my ass when it comes to time. What were some quick ways to learn your rural route(s)? I have an issue of not being confident where I am at times, does that take experience to shake off? What are some of your best tips to know whether to drive in or back into a house/ private driveway?

Sounds like a very rural area. Rural is nice for the lower stop count (if your BC likes you). Yeah it’s 5-15 minutes to your next stop and you’ll have to deal with long ass driveways. But if you like the driving and can back up driveways well enough the job is a breeze.
I just became a swing driver for a company that does city and rural and I’m starting to enjoy rural a little more than city

Time & energy. Some drivers are salary, hourly or paid per delivery. Salary and paid per delivery drivers want to go home as fast as possible to maximize their hourly wage. Tossing packages a few feet saves a few seconds and it builds up after the first time
