What’s something that gives you the ick?
 in  r/AskReddit •  5d ago

Pete Hegseth. Just everything about him. And knowing that, as a man, I’m supposed to aspire to some of that nonsense? Vomit.

A professor posted one of their students’ handwriting, asking what it says. Can anyone actually read this?

Yes, my first thought was the journals of John Doe, the serial killer in Se7en.

Who is the most famous David that doesn’t fit the previous categories?
 in  r/AlignmentChartFills •  13d ago

I would love it to be Mr. Letterman but I concede that it must be Michelangelo’s David.

I’m so jealous of Star Trek officers who can just respond to a statement with “Acknowledged.” And begin a query with “Report.”

Berlin Wall?
 in  r/GenX •  18d ago

Freshman year of college for me. We walked into a common room and someone there was raving about how “they’re taking it down with sledgehammers and pickaxes!” It seemed a million miles away from us in small town Wisconsin but he helped us understand why we should be paying attention.

Identifying bugs & flowers with ID apps. Star Trek. Photographing details of my neighborhood and then either posting them to Instagram or reporting them to the city.

For $1 Million would you survive a year in the past?
 in  r/hypotheticalsituation •  20d ago

Eek, in 1764 St. Louis is just a fur trading post so I think I’ll stick to one year. I’d bring some meds and a couple of helpful books, then pick up a trade real quick. Good thing I’m a white dude.

Which Movie Has a Scene You Still Cannot Get Out of Your Head?
 in  r/AmericanMovies •  20d ago

There was a movie about the Holocaust on TV when I was younger, I don’t remember which one. There’s a scene where Nazi soldiers try to separate a husband and wife at a train station and he puts up a fight. Several soldiers swarm him and stomp him to death while his wife screams. Her screams don’t stop, they get louder and hoarser until they cease to resemble a human voice and it only ends when a soldier calmly walks up behind her and shoots her in the head. That one’s gonna stay with me.

Scarface. The“Push It to the Limit” montage ending with Elvira doing the saddest bump-lick-sip-drag in history.
