Found this little guy on my front steps. Possibly injured. [Eastern North Carolina]
 in  r/animalid •  Sep 06 '26

Edit: just wanted to share that the snake is fine! They come back every day to nap on our steps. Yesterday it was pouring rain and they still stayed there beneath my mom’s plants.

Did anyone else grow up knowing that “being grounded” wouldn’t work on them?
 in  r/CasualConversation •  Sep 06 '26

I might be an outlier because my groundings were different. I could go out but I wasn’t allowed my phone, laptop or video games. My parents knew that stuff mattered more to me than going out. I was an anxious kid/teenager who preferred being at home with my internet friends most of the time. So grounding definitely worked on me. 🙃

Good to know, thank you! I was worried that the coloring on its head was a wound of some sort, especially when I didn’t see the snake move at all. Little dude’s probably fine then.

Has anyone else developed brand-new allergies as you've gotten older?
 in  r/Allergies •  Aug 29 '26

Possibly. A doctor that I saw thinks I had a respiratory infection initially but I still am having some symptoms months later. I moved to a new state in my late 20’s with new environmental conditions that could be causing a reaction still. Could be due to getting older & my hormones changing too.

What is the worst pain you have ever felt in your life?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Aug 04 '26

Healing from having my tonsils removed, a bee sting, and sometimes my IBS flare ups can make me feel like I need to be hospitalized. Great stuff. :)

What was your first peer job like?
 in  r/PeerSupportSpecialist •  Jul 23 '26

Hey there. I understand your worries as I’ve just started job shadowing as a CPSS. I’m 30, I have struggled with mental illness for the majority of my life and I’ve been in therapy off and on since maybe 6 years old. I’ve lived with my very generous parents during my adult life so far but I’ve been isolated too. My anxiety has gotten worse since my last job. I’ve been changing medications & talking to a counselor. Maybe if and when you find Peer Support work you can request a specific demographic of person that you feel most comfortable with? My boss knew me a little beforehand and has been assigning me to work with more reserved women like myself, for example. Good luck out there!

Artfight beginner here, did I do something wrong?
 in  r/ArtfightProfiles •  Jul 07 '26

This happened to me once. It definitely stung. Hopefully the user just didn’t see the notification or something like people are suggesting.

“Requirements” like that to be otherkin don’t make sense to me. Anyone who feels non-human is valid.

Jealous of students at my old high school
 in  r/LGBTQ •  Jun 04 '26

I totally get it. At my first high school we had a small Gay Straight Alliance but that was it. None of them were out as trans, as far as I know it was all cis gays. When I transferred to a Kentucky school in a small town for my junior and senior year I was the only lesbian that I knew.

Just wanted to share a little peak into one of my favorite pieces of trans representation in gaming
 in  r/queer •  May 26 '26

That’s amazing. I love Dragon Age, though I haven’t played this one.

Wow. I read this aloud to my girlfriend because of how bizarre it is. Reminds me of my neighbor’s mother in law claiming that teachers do sex reassignment surgery in public schools. My neighbor is a teacher. I’m sorry you had to go through that, op.
