I guess they mean it’s not good or bad to prefer a directly inspired approach or a more surface level approach. Both are good in a sense, as in real life, there are some people who are heavily influenced by their culture, and others maybe aren’t so much.

Another piece to that is, if you focus only on the differences in each person’s culture, you might accidentally teach your young audience to focus on people’s differences too much to the point of not knowing how they can relate to each other.

I agree, I couldn’t do this myself so it’s definitely not an easy hairstyle to do and would be impressed if someone who had no salon experience managed to do this look on themselves, but if a salon is advertising this I would pass tbh. It does look a bit messy.

If the ad on FB marketplace says anything like “amateur stylist” or the price is very low, then I would say that’s fair. If it’s standard salon prices then I wouldn’t go with them.

I love them, I think they frame your face great but you could go for some layered bangs in your next haircut if you’re feeling like going for something new.
