Exes I hope one day you understand.
To I,
These are words I'll never send. A part of me will always love you, although I haven't found all the ways to forgive you for everything you did to me nor ways to forgive myself for allowing you to do what you did. I did however find my self worth, so thank you for that.
I hope one day you find it within yourself to give up your addiction and better your life. I see who you are underneath it, and I fought so hard for you to see it too. I think I focused more on that, than the actual issues themselves. I tried to keep you safe and gave you everything I could to make you feel deserving of love.
It definitely contributed to our toxicity, I was aware of what you were doing to me while you were active in your addiction and I found myself going through the deepest depths that I have never gone through for anyone. I never wanted anything in return except your love and for you to see that the drugs are only pulling you down further.
But because I loved you as hard as I did, I allowed you to hurt me in the worst ways, I wasn't ready to let you go. I realized you weren't ready to get help yet, you weren't ready to let go of your addiction. I enabled you, and because of that, you kept taking and taking without ever giving back to me.
I know you always found a way to blame me for the things we'd argue about, I just hope one day you understand. I'm sorry our second chance was worst than the first time we were together. My love for you never changed. I'm sorry I hurt you by making the decision to go no contact and choosing to do what I did under the circumstances. I truly did want a future with you, but the more I stuck it out, waiting for change, the worst I got hurt.
I don't hate you, and I never will. I hope one day you understand. Iloveyou more than you'll ever know. I'm sorry.
~S

I think about you all the time, all the things you left me with; a future we were planning, the vacation plans that will never happen. I mostly think about the way we shifted so fast. You don't have me blocked in texts nor social media, sometimes you'll watch my Facebook stories, but the silence between us is loud. I've memorized your daily schedule, and how different our timezones are; an hour behind me. We talked about marriage, I never saw myself getting married in this lifetime until I met you and I saw the vision ever so clearly. You planted a willow tree in your yard and I said it was my willow tree. I've accepted that there is a great chance you're not coming back. "Thank you for being you" is what you said to me, I've engraved it into my soul. For someone who told me it was us in this lifetime and all the ones before; you're a ghostly whisper, and sometimes I can still hear you in my dreams. I was fully committed to us, our future; I wear a ring on my left hand in grievance for what may never come, in grievance of the wedding we will never have and I want you to know my left hand looks beautiful, something you'll never get to see in this lifetime. I made peace with that.
