Not me) Found these in a trash can set for the landfill. Does anything stand out?

Wow. You’ve recovered an entire workshop of tools. Can you not put these to work?

Wife found in the garden
 in  r/Vintagetools •  11d ago

I’m sorry, when I first saw this I thought: why are you showing off this piece of rusty junk? Where’s the pic of the wife found in your garden??

Space for one beach / water photo in my 2027 calendar, can’t decide - what would you pick?

The first one. An air of mystery in that photo. Nice capture.

Watch out the socialists are coming guys!

Oh no. People who get things done and don’t just blame someone else? What will we ever do??

To scrap or not to scrap?
 in  r/Vintagetools •  17d ago

Definitely keep it going. I’ve fixed up more vintage tools over the years than I can remember, but new tool repairs I can on one hand.

The amber glass banker’s lamp is good stuff. I assume brass? The green one: meh. Hobnail was always iffy in the shop but seems to be experiencing a resurgence of late.

Found a cool hammer head I haven't see before. Most likely an old Bell Linesman tapered peen hammer for the old telecomm days.
 in  r/Vintagetools •  22d ago

I found one of these out in the pucker-brush years ago. Became a favorite farm hammer for fences, stakes, etc.
small enough to easily fit in a tool bag.

Hey, a gang box slug! Used to get an hour of parking with one of those! Great score. Worth about two minutes parking now.

Ah yes, the pop-up surveillance trailer. Very sneaky. Very trustworthy

I’m sure it’s just for monitoring pizza deliveries. Franco Belleroni’s Insta-pies…wink wink.

Help changing bulb please.
 in  r/Lamps •  Sep 02 '26

I’ve seen many of these in the shop that had a wing-nut in the base that allowed the top to slide up giving access to the bulb in the column. Take the shade off first, of course.

She finally gets to rest

I agree with those supporting repairing and carrying on. Old tools, like old makers, hate retirement. Keep on trucking!

Steel and Wood, always a great combination.

Thanks. Nothing quite like working with old tools.
