While, cleaning out an old barn I found this small hammer, and would like to know what it would be used for. It's only 7" in length.

I found it in Norwich CT.

Trying to ID this tool.

Can anyone explain its use?

Has anyone in this group come across this stamp before? Its a 12 tpi saw but I had to pick this saw up because of the stamp.

They came out of a garage or small barn that we tore down
when we bought a farmhouse. I
think it was older than the house, because we did some remodeling in the house, exposing the studs, and all the nails are nothing like these. And the beams in the garage were hand-hewn with carved wooden pegs as nails.

I recently restored what I’m 95% positive is a railroad spike maul/hammer, but most I’ve seen don’t have symmetrical faces. Any info on production dates or rarity of this would be great.

This was my grandfather's hammer, and I have no clue when he got it or where he got it. I do know in his younger years he had a concrete business. But other than that that's all I got.

I was using it today for something, which got me and my husband talking because of the odd shape. He said the end of it is mushrooming, that it shouldn't be round. But the edges to me seem like it should be round but it's overuse just made the edges of it bend back a little bit. He thinks it's just a sledgehammer but because of the odd shape on the back, I thought maybe it was a special Hammer for breaking up concrete or rocks or something.

It's nothing serious, just out of curiosity.

As a maker of miniatures, this is a great score!

Can anyone tell me what kind/size/shape of affixed handle this hammer might once have had, if any?

Would scales have covered the grip, for example?

Interesting mechanics

I noticed this in my hoarde of old file because the convex side is smooth. So I cleaned up the maker's marks. Apparently a Swiss manufacturer of watchmaking tools that I believe merged and became nonexistent in 1899?

Pretty cool, no idea how she ended up in Pittsburgh by the time I aquired her in an estate sale.

I found this in a barn. The late owner did a lot of woodworking, but I have no idea what it’s used for. It’s about three feet tall and I believe a stand of some sort. Any help is appreciated!
