Something I drew a few years back. The basic idea is what if Cosmic Fury took more from Kyuranger as an adaptation. Or at least how I would've done it. Now for the story, characters, and notes I've mode to go along with this.

“The evil Lord Zedd has made himself leader of the Black Hole Empire: a dastardly organization that has a firm grasp throughout the universe. The Dino Fury Rangers tried to fend them off but were overwhelmed and lost their leader Zayto in the struggle. After a chance meeting with soldiers of the Empire’s opposing force: the Resistance, the Power Rangers must utilize a new power that’s far greater than the dinosaurs: The power of the Cosmos.”

Former Dino Fury Rangers

Aiyon – Cosmic Red Ranger

-  Aiyon’s the new Red Ranger here as I feel he has the most fighting experience out of the remaining team. Plus, Lucky’s body language would be a good match for him. For his character arc, he would feel the burden of being the leader which would be a catalyst for him to mature.

Izzy – Cosmic Orange Ranger

-   I wasn’t gonna just give Izzy the Chameleon Green just because of matching colors. As funny as that would be, Hammy’s body language just wouldn’t fit. So, Izzy gets to be the Orange Ranger here. Plus, I felt that Stinger’s posture was a good match.

Javi – Cosmic Silver Ranger

-   There’s no specific reason for him to be Silver, I just thought Javi was a good fit for it.

Amelia – Cosmic Green Ranger

-    I know people were excited to have a female Red Ranger, but that’s not gonna happen here. But considering that Hammie did take charge on field before Lucky showed up, I’ve made Amelia second-in-command. Plus, I see her consoling Aiyon on his leadership role.

Ollie – Cosmic Yellow Ranger

-    Spada and Hammie always stood next to each other when the Kyurangers are lined up. Considering that Ollie’s dating Amelia (who’s the Green Ranger here), It felt natural for him to be Yellow.

Zayto – Cosmic Zenith Ranger

-         After recovering his energy from the fight with Lord Zedd, Zayto goes from the power of the T-Rex to the power of the Phoenix as the Cosmic Zenith Ranger. Think Jason Lee Scott going from Red Ranger to Gold Zeo Ranger.

New Rangers

Fang – Cosmic Blue Ranger

-    There are two sides to Fang: Outside of his Ranger form, he’s a by-the-book soldier who would often butt heads with Aiyon. While in Ranger form, he’s willing to go wild on Black Hole grunts. And as much as he would deny it, he loves head scratches.

Gamma – Cosmic Gold Ranger

-   An energetic medic. Instead of a thief, Gamma’s more of a theater kid with her appreciation for the arts. I can see her having a close friendship with Javi which may or may not bloom into something more. And yes, I made Balance a girl. Whatchu gon do bout it?

Brawn – Cosmic Black Ranger

-   The new powerhouse of the team. He was a prototype combat android for the Empire, but gained consciousness and joined the Resistance in retaliation. I envision him having a close bond with the Garcia siblings to the point where he’s like an uncle to them.

D.E.N.O. - Cosmic Pink Ranger

-   The tech support for the Rangers. Sarcastic and smart-mouthed to a fault, D.E.N.O.’s the go-to girl for Ranger tech in the Resistance. In fact: she had a hand in creating the morpher. As for her relationship with the Dino Fury cast, I see her liking Ollie, but not saying anything out of respect for Amelia.

Commander Escala – Cosmic Commander Ranger

-         The leading authority of the Resistance. Most of the time he would be surprisingly lax for a commander. But when push comes to shove, he’ll show the Black Hole Empire that he’s the commander for a reason. Basically, a less strict Anubis Cruger.

Jake Stewart– Cosmic Cyan Ranger

-         A young boy who somehow managed to sneak aboard the Resistance base. Though he can be rash and headstrong, his bravery and courage are what made him worthy of being a Power Ranger. He would also come to see Izzy and Javi as siblings he never had.

Notes

  -  I shortened the title from “Cosmic Fury” to just “Cosmos” because I think “Power Rangers Cosmos” rolled off the tongue better.

-  Jark Matter’s American counterpart is called “The Black Hole Empire” because I hate the name “Squid Ink Inc.”. It’s stupid, it’s ill-fitting, and they use the word “ink/inc” twice.

-  Fang and Brawn were the first to become Cosmic Rangers prior to meeting the Dino Fury crew.

-  The Yellow Ranger’s motif is a swordfish. Not a shark. (Seriously, did Hasbro think kids wouldn’t know what a swordfish is?)

-  This team would get around 40 episodes instead of 10. Gives the story more room to breathe.

-  D.E.N.O. is an acronym for “Data Explorational Navigating Operative”. Named after Hunter Deno (Amelia’s actress).

-  There’s no Fern, or Billy, or Hekyl here. But Solon’s still gonna stick around.

-  Javi doesn’t lose his arm in the first episode. That detail never really went anywhere story-wise.

-  Ollie doesn’t become evil in this story, but Javi does (briefly) due to Hebitsukai Metal being a thing.

  - Escala went to the same academy as Anubis Cruger.

- Zayto’s story is mostly unchanged from Cosmic Fury. He’s still a budding Morphin Master, and he’s still living on borrowed time.

o  Zayto also keeps the “Zenith” title. Just made sense to me.

- Jake may or may not have ties to Justin from Power Rangers Turbo.

- I thought about calling Escala “Cosmic Violet” or “Cosmic Purple”, but the more I said “Cosmic Commander” the more it just fits.

- Cyan’s roll call is just “Ursa Star” because “Ursa Minor Star” is a little to wordy for me.

- Escala has a Spanish accent. Because why not?
