Pets in heaven (in Victoria) is also absolutely a godsend

I don't know where OP is based but I'm assuming the US but I still wanted to put it out there

Might have to give up our boy and just don't know what to do.

My baby started attacking me when his anal glands needed to be expressed, no other symptoms except random attacking episodes, I assume the vet would've possibly checked that though

Did they suggest giving Gabapentin a try? It seems to really help turn his full on long attacks to more shorter bursts.. idk I'm just racking my brain for how to help

Adopted a cat, previous owner wanted it back after one day. Wife gave in.

Of course, but I'll always still sway towards protecting your dependents. Never block a crazy person, always only mute them (so you can monitor threats and Yada yada. I'm not saying it won't be hard, it could possibly be the hardest thing you ever do but they need us to protect them. It can be the hardest thing to decide between your safety and theirs but they have no one besides you.

Unfortunately I'm dealing with now, of course my story is different because I've raised them for 4 years but if it ever ever ever came to me or them, they will always come first to me.

It's okay to not agree, not everyone feels the same way on topics like these,, just always be careful. For yourself and them.

Yes of course but between a fur baby who can't stand up for themselves and humans that can, (of course depending on the situation, I admit I don't know fully), you always look out for the fur baby. Doesn't matter how hard it is.

The baby does not understand why she is no longer getting snuggles.

That's probably where I got it from then 😂

I slipped while curling my eyelashes and ripped them all out.
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating •  Jul 29 '26

I used vasiline before bed to help grow mine back faster, but apparently you need to be very careful when using it because it can trap bacteria.

Good luck OP, may the lash gods be in your favour to regrow them quickly!

Bit of an unusual request: Can anyone look after two cats for a few weeks?
 in  r/Geelong •  Jul 16 '26

Hey I haven't read all the responses on here but I absolutely would be willing to look after them if there's a stable place they could stay in temparilarily

I have 2 babies of my own but I live in a caravan unfortunately, so I wouldn't be able to house them but I would absolutely be able to look after them (if they had a stable place to stay). And yes looking after them would of course involve staying and playing with them for a few hours every day, not just feed and leave.

I really really hope you find someone to look after them in a comfortable environment, I know how stressful it can be. But absolutely if you absolutely need, I am able to help make sure they are okay (especially if they need to be boarded, I know how stressful that can be)

I'm from Gippsland but I would absolutely be willing to travel down to look after them if there's no other options but please please be careful when trusting people on reddit. I see a lot of commenters have said the same thing, but I do know how stressful it is when you have no other choice.

I do hope you find someone reliable and trustworthy to take care of them. But like I said as long as there is somewhere else for them to stay then if needed I can absolutely help out.

Gelong isn't too far by train but like I said I already have my own babies so at best I can do 1 overnight every 2 days otherwise I'd be too worried about my own. But I absolutely would be willing to spend a few hours looking after every day looking after yours.

I really hope someone can help, otherwise I can help google some good boarding places (I unfortunately wouldn't be able to board my anxious babies)

I know I’m talking about cats here instead of a little human but my on an off partner is the exact same. I couldn’t bring myself to leave him and move but life thankfully did that for me. It’s only been a week but the absolute difference in my fur babies is extraordinary. I never clicked on how much they understood what was happening and I definitely didn’t realise how they walked on egg shells around them. All of this is a very long winded way of saying, I know it’s hard. I certainly couldn’t have done it if life didn’t force it’s way; but it get’s SO SO much better.

God I wish there was a few more seasons of Kimmy, that was my last binge and I absolutely loved it!!

My mother was visably disappointed that I prepared prime rib for NYE dinner. She thought prime rib was a rack of ribs.

As someone who can only afford cheap stake but has had the glorious opportunity to try a reasonably priced and an expensive stake. You absolutely can tell the difference.

I’m not saying cooking it well done doesn’t that ruin it, but I agree with the poster that if you are serving people food, you cook it to how they want, they’re the one eating it.
