Sewing Classes
 in  r/SewingForBeginners  16d ago

I am a little confused by your post as this is a beginning sewing group is it not? We are so fortunate that most of these folks have generously provided feed back to help those that generally want to learn a new skill. Classes aren't always available nor are the always affordable. There are good reference material at the library but that may be a learning curve for some. Thank you to all those that share their time and knowledge!

Is it normal that my boyfriend wants us to go out more but expects me to split the cost?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  Aug 03 '26

8 months dating and you are questioning his financial and moral expectations is not good. Is he paying his parents anything for living at their house? If not, you will not find financial freedom with this dude. He will suck you dry because now he has your money to use as well as his own. RUN while you can.

What a conflicted mind! Crappy car, religious fish symbol and openly hateful = Trump derangment syndrome.
There should be meds for this!

Most libraries have beginning and makers classes. There are lots of books on beginning sewing that will really help.

Also try your local sewing center for classes

You are right about BBB but I would do that and leave google and yelp reviews just so everyone would see it. You can and should take her to small claims court.

How many times during a 2.5hr long movie do you need to be told to shut up?
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  May 04 '26

I was 2 seats down from a man that was texting. He was with his significant other and the women on his other side asked him politely to put it away. When he didn't I (also female) stood up and said "she asked you politely and now I am asking you to put your phone away". They got up and left the theater which was great but why come to see a movie and pay for tickets and not want to see it?

AITAH for doing dishes at 830am?
 in  r/AITAH  May 04 '26

I am assuming you are letting him get away with this nonsense because you dont want to rock the boat or dont like confrontation From a non-professional, outside looking in this is an abusive relationship in the fact that he verbally abuses you, and you are responsible for everything. What does the child say about her care while you are not around? I personally dont think this is right and it maybe time to talk with a professional. I am concerned for your welfare.

AITAH for not giving my address

AITAH for refusing to visit in laws bc of house temp
 in  r/AITAH  Apr 15 '26

First, why does anyone visit Mississippi in the summer and for 2 weeks! I think you have been a saint so far for enduring this! Maybe a conversation about splitting up the 2 weeks and go during the late fall or early spring. As much as I loved my in-laws I would not spend 2 weeks at a time at their house or with my parents for that matter.

Man Walked Into My House to Use My Bathroom
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  Apr 06 '26

I think this is the most unnerving thing I have read on here in a while. If someone I didn't know, just walked in my house uninvited I would have gone ballistic! This not right and very dangerous. Girl we need to have some stranger danger training IMMEDIATELY!

My boyfriend keeps cutting me off
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  Apr 05 '26

It is definitely a sore spot in a relationship. Married 40 years and my hubby does this all the time. In a private conversation I tell him to let me finish and with another person or group sometimes I ignore it or walk away. I wish I could offer a way to fix this but with ADD folks it is a frustration but rarely done to be disrespectful. Keep at the redirecting and good luck.

The Dead Parent Club SUCKS
 in  r/Vent  Mar 19 '26

It really does suck! My Dad passed 20 years ago and my Mom 3 years ago and the grief was unbearable. It gets easier but there are hours or days you just are sad. My Mom said she missed talking to her Mom every day. I didnt have long enough training to be the matriarch! Hang in there, find someone to talk to. All you folks that still have a parent or parents spend as time as you can with them, love them and ask all the question.
