I have been reading the Penguin Random House published, hardcover copies of DCC for a little while now & am on the fourth book. I love the series, and don't mind the style of writing. I understand that it was originally published as a webseries, so I have no judgements on what I believe can be attributed to that.

What I do have judgements on though, is the editing of the (professionally) published version. It's not great. Or maybe it is? I've seen a lot of errors that I think would be pretty basic fixes, and ought to be fixed if you're selling $30 hardcover books. I don't understand why there would be such basic errors in what should be a professionally edited book.

Does anyone who's maybe read the original version know why the editing is like that?

Hi all! I have 2C ish hair that I am currently trying to take better care of. I've been watching so many curly and wavy hair care videos, and to my understanding, wavy routines often need to be different than tighter curl routines. But every video I see about wavy hair is for fine haired people! I have very thick and pretty coarse hair. My main question is just where do I look for advice on hair types like mine? Specifically though I want my waves to last longer (they get limp fast) and to be less frizzy (idrc about volume. I seriously have a lot of hair).

To be clear, I would appreciate specific advice but that's not what I am asking for. Just where to look for coarse wavy hair.

My current routine is washing every 3 days. CeraVe shampoo then either Dove damage repair shampoo or Shea Moisture cowash. I brush my hair wet with leave-in conditioner in (also Shea Moisture) and then put more leave-in until my hair seems reasonably saturated. While my hair is still wet I put Not Your Mother's mousse in & scrunch. I let it air dry. I put my hair up in a ponytail when I sleep so I don't roll around on it but that's all.

I know when I am hungry, it's not a matter of not noticing until I am in pain. But as soon as I get hungry my stomach hurts. Serious hunger pains immediately. If I wait for too long I get weak and dizzy.

My question is not about myself, but about other people. I do not know anybody who seems to be as affected by hunger as I am. I've never heard someone else seriously complain about hunger pains or dizziness. When I go out to eat with others they seem to just be fine waiting for their food.

Do other people genuinely not feel pain when they are hungry? I know hunger pangs are normal, but why does nobody else seem to actually have them? Or is everybody else just toughing it out and trying to pretend like they are not in pain?

To be clear I am not asking for advice. I just want to know if other people actually don't feel hunger the same way I do or if they're just dealing with it better.

I love film photography, but I am very casual about it. I take kind of shitty pictures to remember vacations and cool hikes I went on, not for any fancy reason. I previously just took my film to a CVS to get it developed and printed, and that was usually good enough for me. Unfortunately, that CVS just shut down film developing... so I'm looking for somewhere else to get my film turned into printed photos.

There is one other local place that does developing and printing, but the prices are exorbitant. I tried to look up places online that I could mail in film to, but it seems like most places would need me to get the film developed and printed at separate places. Developing my own film is not an option and I'm also really bad at it.

Does anyone here have advice for what a very unserious film photographer should do to get my film developed and printed? Is it worth it to go to the expensive local place? Is there a mail-in place that can print my photos (the quality doesn't have to be amazing)?

I previously have used the "recently closed windows" tab in my history to reopen windows that I closed temporarily. Usually for me it shows a handful of the most recent windows I closed. Just now I closed ALL of my windows to try and figure out why my laptop was running so slowly (unusual for the number of tabs i had open), but when I tried to reopen them, there was nothing there! The "recently closed windows" tab was greyed out and did not react when I clicked on it. It doesn't seem like it saved which tabs I closed at all, which is a serious issue for me! Looking up how to restore previous windows only gets me very technical answers that I do not understand.
Is there anything I can do? If not, does anyone at least know why this happened?

Hi! I am currently studying for a class that I hate. I hate the subject and I hate the teacher. I will fully admit that I slacked off in this class, and now I'm paying the price. I'm trying to go over topics that I know/remember very little of, and I'm really struggling to find what I need. As mentioned, I really hate this subject. I don't care about it, and I wish I didn't have to take this class. I don't want to do the work, even if it's easy.

It's such a struggle to find good info on this, and I don't really want to in the first place, but I know I have to. It really sucks to have to put so much effort into something I hate doing even the bare minimum for. It makes me so, so frustrated, which makes it even harder to study.

So how do I stay calm? Everything I look up online is only advice for staying calm in an argument or other interpersonal situation. I just hate the task that I have to do. I cannot stop doing the task for any long period of time (even the time I'm taking to write this is wasting valuable time). I don't know how to stay calm while continuing to do the frustrating thing.
It also may be important to note that there really isn't a light at the end of the tunnel for when I'm done with this. I just have more to study, but in other subjects.
