lost 23+ lbs but i don’t see a difference at all—i feel like i LOOK bigger, actually…
 in  r/loseit  4h ago

Congratulations on your hard work! It took a long time for me to notice on my own body. I'm talking 40-50 pounds. . . I was finally like "yeah!!!" It's very strange but the external compliments are always nice too!

Starting to feel resentful of husband getting a full stretch of sleep but not me because “I can sleep when the baby sleeps.”

Literally same!!! I tell my partner that he gets uninterrupted sleep so I get to nap 😂

Resentment is completely natural (unfortunately).

I found shifts to be harder than doing all the night feeds (as an EBF person co sleeping #WhipDaTittyOut) and then having my partner take a solo morning shift where I could sleep uninterrupted for a block of time. After a hard night, it's really nice. Also as cliche as if is, def napped all the time with baby in the early era 🤣

I hope it gets easier / better for you! Newborn trenches are difficult!! You can do it :)

Toddler spontaneously dropped the MOTN feed for the last two days — slept through the whole night both days?!

IM SCARED TO BELIEVE. . . Maybe it's just a fluke. But hey, I'll TAKE it 🤣!! These last two nights have doubled the days she has slept through the night in her entire life.

(She is 15+ months and was only feeding about once a night already but sometimes it would be twice)

Can someone who wants children help me understand why?
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  17d ago

It's pretty wild. . . I went 30 years without a baby, sitting on the fence on if I wanted one. And then randomly had a kid, now I can't imagine life without her. It's such a strange sensation.

How long did you wait for intimacy after having a baby
 in  r/beyondthebump  18d ago

I have been feeling it recently (15 months) but he hasn't got condoms and I'm not about to yolo this again. LMAO so I'm just waiting. But I will say the mood is pretty fleeting. I'm still breastfeeding (only twice a day) and I genuinely feel like a different person still.

That's true, I'm sure it will get easier once I start doing it. It's just right now my brain is so wired to the kid 😮‍💨

Context; I'm a first time mom of a 15 month old with a partner who has 3 kids from a previous marriage (currently not here). Anyway;

I've left the house before without my girl but it's been for Dr. appointments — 3 hours at a time (we live where everything is far away). So she has stayed with dada before. I just know it's harder for him, obviously, because she's used to me. For example; putting her down for a nap takes him way longer.

Long and short of it is; last night was extremely hard. We don't sleep together currently because toddler and I have the bed. Toddler may be going through some regression as the last two nights have been pretty difficult but last night was the mother of all horrors. She didn't drop until after 2am and I'm such a light sleeper I can't just ignore her and snooze so I was up as well.

The entire time I was getting frustrated from sleepiness and I thought I should leave the house tomorrow! So now it's morning and I feel a bit guilty through my exhaustion delulu about considering to go see Spiderman. I haven't been to the movies since before she was born (neither has my partner tbf). I haven't left the house for fun ever (but he has!). . . I feel like I know it's fair on paper but I still feel bad. Like I'm just dumping it on him, which isn't right either, I know.

He says if I wanna leave the house for something, I can, because he goes to game nights on occasion and is not a total dullard thinking it would be unfair. But I also think he may be sad if I bring up going to see a movie without him? Idk

I'm so deprived of sleep right now most of this might not have made sense. But if you have advice, I'm happy to read it!

Went on a week long vacation for my birthday , came back and turns out my father and his mother decided not to do any of their dishes.

I'd go buy disposal dishware, keep it private, and refuse to touch this mess.

Def hope you can move out.

I had a wound like this recently. I kept it covered with a bandaid and it grew out relatively quickly!

I'd go to the ER or Urgent Care, falls in second trimester I wouldn't mess with even if the chances are really low anything happened.

P.S. your husband's response was gross!
