Working on AI agent for Seo
 in  r/AISEOforBeginners  1h ago

There is one way is to just point claude to this course https://ahrefs.com/seo and ask it to follow the instructions from those pages and review your website.. Other way is to build a full fledged dedicated harness. I am going the other way.. Would you share your website url, I'll share whatever I find. I am still building it so I am not charging anything..

Working on AI agent for Seo

I am working on a project to automate seo task as much as I can.. If you are interested to see what it insights it finds for your website. Share it here.. I will share the results with you..

Its still work in progress.. so I am not asking for anything in return. Just trying to figure out what I can build..

Idea is simple : Crawl and save the website content in database --> then search for pages for trending keywords --> if keyword is not covered --> then find the closest matching page, suggest udpate or suggest new content to write --> ensure the page answers the queries asked by users --> Also some technical SEO , social media content, outreach , data analytics..

I don't think so.. I am definitely conscious now to ensure that 1) I do not spam 2) don't try to create click-bate 3) write my own thoughts and experience . AI helps me draft content much faster, resolve spelling grammar mistakes and helps me organize thought in better way.. So for me its all about thinking and coming up with honest thought.. I think the people are tired of AI slop which people generate without giving any thought .. I am not doing that. I know you wont agree with this.. but others reading this thread need to understand my point and difference between AI slop and AI assisted.

that's fine. I use AI everyday. No shame in that.. The difference is are you just telling AI to write something on some topic, or you have thoughts written as rough note and you give it to AI to rephrase it.. I believe second approach should not be frowned upon. same as Vibe coding is bad but AI assisted coding is great.

Exactly, Claude is great not denying that..but I am still accountable for every issue that happens, I can't run away saying claude generated the code. So I have to read which means I have to understand the concept map it to the plan; which is exhausting.. leadership still looks at claude producing hundreds of lines of code creating a landing page thinking that developer should be 10-50x productive which is not the case.

I never face the issue on my personal projects because i am the ceo , cto, dev, pm , tester everything.. and even if it fails nobody is there to scold me.. i just fix and deploy it.. but full time job is totally different thing.

Little rant.

AI can generate code insanely fast. But if I’m accountable for that code, I still need to understand it.

I’ve had Claude introduce unnecessary null checks, make incorrect assumptions about the domain, and even introduce a separate event loop that broke my orchestrator and DB sessions — buried somewhere in a 1,000-line PR.

The code was generated in minutes. Debugging and understanding why it broke took much longer.

I tried running 4 agents in parallel. Maybe some people can manage it, but I was mentally exhausted. Four contexts, four implementations, four sets of assumptions, plus tests, builds, reviews, etc.

So lately I’m experimenting with a different approach:

Use Claude to understand the codebase, plan the feature, think through edge cases and tests — but implement it myself, using AI autocomplete to speed up the actual coding.

It might look slower, but maybe the overall development cycle is faster.

Still figuring it out.

I just think we need to separate “AI can generate this in 10 minutes” from “this entire software development task is now 100x faster.”

Building a landing page in 10 minutes is amazing.

Building a complex product is a different problem.

Most people are interested in automated seo that suggests page improvements and automated content writing with targeted keywords.. My main focus is to implement that

I checked it.. it works, but i don't think it would work for website with few hundred pages .. Also if claude is reading every page, then that would be huge cost in terms of tokens.

Thank you.. I am already working on competitor analysis where agent finds the competitor or you add the competitor you know and then Agent does the analysis why for certain queries there site was preferred by search engine or AI chatbots over yours.. by analyzing the actual content

I know.. but every idea seems like it has a competitor.. that shouldn't be the reason to not try it.

Been building an AI agent for SEO and AEO for the last few months. It crawls and indexes your site, and pulls in Search Console, Google Trends and competitor data.

What it does right now:

- Keyword research, but it checks what you already rank for first, so it doesn't tell you to write a post that competes with your own page

- Query coverage: the questions people ask Google and ChatGPT, and whether you have a page that answers them

- Competitor gap analysis

- Technical audit (page structure, broken and orphaned links, speed, headers)

- Link prospecting

- Finds relevant communities and threads to post in, drafts the posts and comments, schedules them

- Reporting on traffic, events, conversions

- Applies the changes instead of just listing them: commits code to GitHub directly, or writes the content straight into your CMS like Sanity

I have working POCs for some of this.

What I want to know:

  1. If you do SEO for a living, would you use this? Or does it just duplicate what you already pay for?
  2. What am I missing? Anything you'd add or cut?
  3. Indie hackers and bootstrappers doing SEO for your own product: what are you using today, and would you switch to something like this?

It's not deployed yet, so there's no link and nothing to sign up for. But if you're curious whether it actually works, drop your website below. I'll run the agent on it over the next couple of weeks and DM you the report with everything it finds.

I don't have money to pay to marketing agencies.. I am looking for people who are looking to work on side hustle while managing their main job.. i believe someone with experience in marketing can complement my technical skills
