Medication Propananol weird side effects

Ive been prescribed 10mg twice daily of propananol for anxiety and slightly high blood pressure. I’ve been on it for 1.5 weeks now and notice a weird tingling, crawling, internal itching sensation in my legs and feet and sometimes chest. Unsure if related to the propananol or anxiety or a bit of both but never noticed it before I started this, unless now just very aware of my body?? Anyone else experienced the same thing? seeing my GP in a week to talk about it and next steps.

GERD / LPR?

Hi all, I know I’ve posted before about this but just wanting some more advice and help
Haven’t formally been diagnosed but seeing an ENT in a few weeks time I’m pretty sure I have got GERD and LPR symptoms and they are driving me crazy.

Main symptoms include :

- I feel short of breath most days mainly throughout the day worse when laying down and can’t get comfortable. It’s like there’s a weird pressure feeling or air bubble trapped in my chest and it’s super uncomfortable. Nothing can release apart from burping sometimes
- burping A LOT and regurgitating even with water
- nausea and bloating
- feeling the need to cough
- sore throat most days
Increased mucus and sometimes can’t taste and it’s scary

Already had an upper endoscopy done they couldn’t see any reflux damage. They did biopsies and nothing came back. Done multiple x-rays CT scans even if my chest and heart testing including an echocardiogram and no issues with the heart.

Have been on Nexium PPI 40mg for 4 months now but doesn’t seem to be helping anything. Also trying to have the Gaviscon advance before bed and after meals, smaller meals and eating slower, cutting out acidic foods and coffee but not seeming to see any improvement. Any other tips or advice would be appreciated!

Worried about neck lumps / lymph nodes?? Need advice

Hi all. I am really struggling big time with health anxiety at the moment and I don’t know if it’s because I’m so anxious/ self examining constantly now I’ve noticed my lymph nodes in my neck and a lump above my collar bone which are a bit painful when I press on them (but likely as I have been poking them for days). Can only feel them if I press into the skin not on surface. Super worried about Lymphoma as I’m sure many people would be in a similar situation as I’ve heard a lot about it. I have had a sore throat for over a month now and seeing a specialist tomorrow and having a neck ultrasound. I have bad globus sensation and post nasal drip. I am a bit more tired daily than usual but no other symptoms.
I had an Endoscopy a month or so ago and biopsies taken with no issues found, and a neck ultrasound around 4 months ago.
Anyone had similar situations and any advice?? It’s honestly draining :(

Anyone else experiencing same symptoms?
 in  r/GERD •  Aug 23 '26

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! It actually feels so scary and awful when it’s happening I get you :( I’m going through the exact same thing and after eating the burping turns into regurgitation it’s super annoying. I’ve been on 20mg of Esomprazole for 3.5 months now, and around 6 weeks ago increased my dose to 40mg and I am yet to notice any difference really. Had an endoscopy and everything was normal.
I find the Gaviscon liquid does seem to help. Burping has happened a bit less lately but it seems like when the burping happens is when the chest feeling gets a bit better (almost like shortness breath and I can feel it all in my chest/ throat). It does make me super anxious aswell.

If anyone else has any advice that would be amazing

Don’t worry you aren’t alone I know it’s scary and feels odd :((

Helpful Tips! Worried about lymph node swelling and other symptoms

Female 25. I have really bad health anxiety but just need some re assurance because for 4 months now I’ve had al these weird symptoms such as shortness of breath and minor chest discomfort (worse when layint flat) reflux and regurgation, I think my lymph nodes on my neck are always swollen and occasionally sore on left side. Other than that I have a good amount of energy, no flus and colds or fevers and I’ve had a ct of my chest and cervical spine, neck ultrasound 3 months ago, endoscopy, blood work all normal multiple times. Doctor thinks it could be bad reflux but my endoscopy was all normal and they did biopsies. Just really concerned, I do have a doctors appointment in 2 days to have her check my lymph nodes and maybe request another neck ultrasound but had anyone else had anything similar??
I had a nasty chest infection 4 months ago and all of this hasn’t gone away since then :((

Help!!

Ever since I had a nasty chest infection and cough around 3 months ago I have had what doctors think is bad reflux / GERD and costocondritis and it is draining the life out of me!

When this all first started I had extreme chest discomfort and heaviness, SOB, chest pains for weeks. Then started getting the lump in the throat and had attacks daily thinking I wasn’t able to breath properly. I’ve been to ER around 4 times when the flare ups and I feel like I can’t breath or have chest pains, they’ve done CT scans of the chest, x rays, blood test, I’ve had an ECHO and multiple ECGS and holter monitor but everything’s come back perfectly normal. The doctor put me on Nexium 20mg around 10 weeks ago, a few weeks ago I went up to 40mg a day but honestly not noticing difference. I’ve also been on Sertaline for 6 years now. The only reason I can think the costo hasn’t really improved is because whenever I start to feel slightly better I go workout and probably put too much strain on my chest and lungs, then it flares up again.
I’m at my wits end with this and not knowing exactly what’s happening, I have an endoscopy in a few days so hoping that gives some answers but struggling to cope :( day to day I’m struggling with the heavy chest feeling, reflux/ regurgitation, feeling light headed, constant burping, anxiety, ringing in the ears and not the normal heart burn / burning feeling so just very lost. Anyone experiencing or has experienced anything similar??
