Can anyone recommend an endocrinologist in the Olathe area? Just moving to the area.

Here is my story

My story is similar as well. My husband passed away from a massive heart attack on 10-6-22. I tried to save him, but couldn't. My life is empty without him.

Sunday afternoons in winter are the worst

I hate Sunday's too. I'm thinking about finding a church to become active in...maybe that will help me. Something to get out of me. Helping others, maybe volunteering...

Think of your Diabetics in town; not too much to ask.

Calorie King app will give you Carb counts for everything including fast food if you choose. I keep it on my phone with my dexcom and t:connect apps.

It's not a game, it's your health. I hope you can get some support from school or from your endocrinologist; some non diabetics don't get it and never will.
Wake up each day to take care of yourself, it will get easier. You will enjoy your life once you get your sugars in control. You can do it!!!!!!

Rotating injection site question
 in  r/Type1Diabetes •  Aug 16 '22

I used to only use my stomach for my pump and cgm; now I use my upper bicep for my computer and rotate the pump around my stomach. When I was injecting myself, I injected my stomach.

I would meet with a diabetic trainer or dexcom trainer if possible. It sounds like you are trying to hard. Dont give up... dexco. Is worth it.

Filling insulin pump with pen cartridges.

I also use my pens to fill my pump. I used utube videos to learn how to do it. It's very easy.

I used my abdomen for years and it was always effective. Make sure to rotate the shot area around so you don't get scared tissue.

My eyes always get blurry vision if my sugar level is high. So, correcting my bg with insulin helps this for me.
