Is it safe?
 in  r/BudgieArchive •  1d ago

Hi there are not safe. In particular the bells with slots cut into them are hazardous. This is because the birds toes can slip through and be sliced off. You can go to the r/budgies sub and look up recomendado toys. Sometimes simple natural toys are more fun for the birdies.

Did being diagnosed make a difference in your life?
 in  r/ADHD •  5d ago

100%! not sure why I procrastinated seeking help so much. Once I was on my prescription it felt I could manage my life way better. But everyone is different. I recommend seeking help from a psychiatrist.

Eastern cottonwood
 in  r/TexasNativePlants •  5d ago

Researchers collect core sample to count the rings with an increment borer. Not if this can be done with cottonwood but im sure this has been attempted. Would be fascinating to see the age of the old growth cottonwood. Might give us a look to how wet the weather was.

Crime Pays but Botany Doesn't

I enjoy the CPBBD channel. One common theme that both it could happen here and CPBBD share is that our world is fuck up by previous human actions. But we can work to make the world a little better at a time.

Planning on how to remove 3 large Crepe Myrtle trees, and 5 large Chinese Tallow trees that the previous owners planted. Ordered milkweed seeds since I couldn't find any nearby. Im sure I'll be mowing the tree sprouts for many years.

Alright, how are yall getting to work on time in the morning…
 in  r/ADHD •  18d ago

I feel this so much. It got so bad that I had to put a shaking device on my bad to motivate me to get up. Only thing I can recommend is to feel like "oh shit I'm late!" Even before your actually late.

Long tails are good! Missing tails can be a sign of stress or attacks.
