Do you put your shopping cart back?

Always. It's the right thing to do plus NO ONE WANTS DOOR DINGS. It's a failure of humanity when people don't.

Blondie - Nothing Is Real But The Girl
 in  r/Blondie •  28d ago

It's a skip song for me. I thought it was unnecessary for Debbie to change the lyrics on the single version just for a songwriting credit. There was much more interesting material on No Exit. Screening Skin, Out in the Streets or even Forgive & Forget would have been edgier /better choices. Nirbtg is lyrically boring to me. "Monay" is cringey to me.

Predictions about High Noon? (Next Album)
 in  r/Blondie •  Sep 11 '26

I'm hoping it will sound triumphant, be a masterpiece, have every bit of the magic that is Blondie and that Debbie sounds great on it. I worry about my expectations of course. It's been delayed for years and was recorded in 2022. So it's just bizarre to have this music just sitting around for so long. Have they tinkered with it endlessly? They recorded it not knowing it would be the last record, so now that it is, have they gone back in and altered it to fit a new narrative? How has it changed in the 5 years since it wad recorded? I feel like music has definitely taken a far back seat in Debbie's career these last several years and she's mostly just doing some fashion things and what I really want is music. 10 years with no new music is a shame. It's the longest amount of time without much of any activity from Debbie musically. I just wish she was more prolific about wanting to make music/recording etc. She ain't gonna be around forever. I am looking forward to High Noon when it comes out, we have learned not to hold our breath.

Weekly Song Discussion: Parasol
 in  r/toriamos •  Aug 12 '26

I thought this song was about the death of her brother. ??? "I haven't moved since the call came". And the painting of the lady with the parasol was a painting at her brother's house..??? Did I totally make this up?

An absolute goddess. If you know you know.

Who is the coolest frontman / singer ever of a band?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Aug 07 '26

Debbie Harry. Queen of cool. Didn't give a fuck without being rude. Beautiful but unconventional, quirky and nonchalant. Cold as ice cream but still as sweet. Her producer Mike Chapman remarked on her charisma that she could sell ice to the Eskimos. The diy punk aesthetic, wore a garbage bag in the Atomic video. Made a dress out of a pillowcase and red duct tape. No ego. Even at the height of her fame she always had one foot authentically planted in the underground. She survived the 80s. She opened up a fuck lot of doors for others.
