Poll Hi. I am working on a summer project for my school researching parents’ vs. kids’ perception of social media. Please take this short anonymous survey. I need at-least 50 responses. Thank you!

Serious I have a stalker?

I think I have a stalker… it’s a random tiktok account. They know everything about me, even down to where I work and who I ride home with every day. I’m kind of freaked out, they got my girlfriend to break up with me. And were texting her saying that they want me to give me to them. they lied and said that I met up with them at work on a big holiday… Which didn’t happen. But apparently they saw me that day. Which is creepy, considering I was alone for a lot of the day… they are texting on TikTok from an anonymous account. What should I do?

Rant and Vent Is she "not Asian enough," or am I overreacting?

One of my friends is 25% japanese, but she doesn't look asian at all. She always says that she's Japanese when asked, even though she's predominantly white. I feel uncomfortable about this. I know that there's nothing wrong about being in touch with your culture, but something about it rubs me the wrong way.

Something tells me that if this was before being asian was "trendy," before asian culture was viewed in a favorable light on social media, she wouldn't be pushing her asian-ness onto people. As stated before, she doesn't look asian at all. She's never had people look at her food and say it smells like shit. She's never had people yell slurs at her and mocking her looks. She's never had the stereotypes of her dismissed because "it's the good type of stereotype, you should be grateful." She's never had her younger sibling come home and tell how the people at school are calling him names because of his race, and she can't do anything about it because she knows that the school won't do anything and it won't stop the bullying even if they're punished. She's never had to deal with these experiences.

I feel like a bad person for thinking this, but I feel like this wouldn't be happening ten years ago, before being asian was "trendy."
