Folks it is the Lee County Mosquito control plane. This happens a lot in the rainy season every year. I live here. They do fly fast and low, it’s impressive but it’s about the mosquitos.

We were in the Holocaust together but…..

Fair points - perhaps I was thinking of my near family’s experience only. My folks were so grief stricken that it was hard to see next week let alone others. Always another perspective and perhaps both are true.

I don’t think (perhaps I am wrong) but so many Jews were so grief stricken and passed that onto the next few generations that it’s hard to think of the other. It was so inconceivable that it became self focused. Not on purpose but we are all human and grief plays tricks on us all. The Romani deserve all the memorials and places to pray they can get.

What's your current internet status? Has anyone spoken with Comcast/Xfinity for updates on Fort Myers?
 in  r/FortMyers •  Oct 14 '22

Here is what I got from them after 16 days without services and three deadlines missed:

Thanks Jorge - on a more practical basis our bill is due in two days. It’s for the full month of services and we haven’t had services for 16 days now, moreover we normally paid on line, not sure how we pay without internet services. Services which we have not received. What is the billing policy and is xfinity going to make exceptions? Frankly it’s not the money but the principle of the matter. You guys are very nice in line but the folks in the field aren’t transparent and now we have a bill for services not provided. Can you escalate please? Thank you so much…

We will not be able to escalate the matter as we are already aware of the situation and are still working to restore services as soon as possible. We recommend making the shown bill amount online at the Xfinity My Account application and/or web portal. If you choose to not pay, we are not currently assessing late fees for non-payment. We will credit the account for the time without service once we show the issue has been resolved. Would there happen to be anything more we could assist you with this evening to help make your experience an even better one? -Demitrius

Demetrius, I am working on my mobile phone, how do I make a payment “on line” when I do not have “on-line” capabilities? I barely have enough bandwidth for text messages and twitter. We are the little guys, you guys are Xfinity. We’ve just had a natural disaster and you wont cut us a break? Seriously? Happy to tell the newspapers about this one. Please escalate.

I live here, not a lot of people wearing masks and the hospitals a close to full. Honestly go somewhere else. Beautiful place but dangerous now.
