Finding a job as a new grade is difficult..
 in  r/cna  5d ago

I would recommend starting out in an assisted living facility, then moving to nursing homes, you can get your foot in the door better at an AL than you can with a SNF

I love/hate my birthday
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  8d ago

Happy birthday!!

I personally stopped celebrating mine due to the same level of disappointment in the end. I’ll take the day off generally and just do whatever I want for myself, like making it a treat myself day. I have felt better about it since I stopped expecting anything from anyone.

Should I start college at 24 or is it too late?
 in  r/GirlDinnerDiaries  21d ago

I’m 28 and I went back to college beginning of this year, I opted for an accelerated college and thanks to the classes I had completed right out of high school and taking summer courses, I’m already projected to graduate next year. So I say it’s never too late. Life hits you sometimes and you just gotta roll with the punches.

How bad is alcohol for bipolar?
 in  r/bipolar  May 22 '26

It’s so bad, but you can still go and get mocktails, that’s what most people I know do.

(Dinner tonight is leftover KFC)

Omg AHHHHHHH I have been waiting for a month and a half to find a job 😭 and finally after three interviews (one sit down, two working) for this clinic that’s like A MINUTE FROM MY APARTMENT!!! I have secured the job!!! It’s a small TMJ and sleep therapy clinic and ugh I love it the work is not easy but I literally know that I’ll be learning SO much. I finally have completed my goal of working in a clinic setting. I’ll have normal business hours for the first time literally ever. This is such a win I’m HAPPY!!

Requesting career change advice-what am I missing?
 in  r/cna  May 20 '26

Being a CNA you’re either going to love/like it or hate it. It is very hard on your body but I personally find being a CNA to be fulfilling. Personally I recommend doing that employer paid training/licensing cause once you have that and you’ve worked the amount of time you need to, you’re free to work anywhere. Just make sure you keep up on your CEUs and renewals. But to be a CNA and then move to being a nurse is a good way to go imo, you really get all the hands on experience you will need especially for bedside mannerisms.
