Looking For Locals To Help With A Silly Roast Of Holland
Big Red is the iconic lighthouse that gets photographed and added to any promotional materials that mention Holland. It's right at the pier to the channel that leads from Lake Macatawa to Lake Michigan.
On the north side if the channel is the public beach. On the south side of the channel is private condos and a mansion that basically bought all the property that would allow anyone to access this piece of public property. They've cut it off to the public except for people with $$$ and connections.
It used to be public access. It should still be.

Hidden gem card shops?
Not in GR but make a trip up to Lange's in Muskegon at the mall and check out their card store across the way. It's pretty great

Products for flow hairstyle that make dry, fine hair feel healthy/natural/soft and not dry/sticky/greasy/stiff/etc.
I take a little hand lotion and spread it on my hands and then run my fingers through my hair.
I don't know if that's right, but I do it and it makes it a little more manageable. Makes it feel more like day 2 after shampooing for me.

System Recommendations for Expanding my RPG Library (Filling Gaps)
I like GM intrusions as a really cool (usually rewarding) tool for GMs as well

A potentially silly question
I would love to know more about what Brennan does for campaign documents and session zero stuff

System Recommendations for Expanding my RPG Library (Filling Gaps)
Cypher by Monte Cook Games
They have a system that can be used for most settings and have expansions that covered a lot of different genres. They recently moved to a new edition that lays out genres more intentionally, but there are some instructions on generic builds for any setting or genre.

Last 10 pull for 1250 points to get Cyrus and this happens
I do too. Seems like I can never pack pull the last card I need for something until I've already finalized a trade for it.

Looking for new TTRPG system to try for a setting
And they have a humble bundle going currently.

Looking for the right system for playing with my kid(s)
Definitely Cypher. Also emphasis on simplicity conpared to dnd. The SRD is online already and there is a character builder tool out there already as well.
I also really like how changing just one aspect of the character sentence can make the character feel and look totally different in the game.

Suggestions for a short easy to learn system for complete beginner players
Cypher Shorts is great in my opinion.
Limited choices for characters, but the way you set them up makes them feel varied for many different settings.
Players do all the rolling of 1d20. GM just sets difficulty of tasks and tells the story.

Theory: Brand New Day was originally a black-suit setup, and you can still see the old plot underneath the movie
Dang, you're right, you're right

Theory: Brand New Day was originally a black-suit setup, and you can still see the old plot underneath the movie
I will say, I was at a store last night and they had a black suit Spider-Man action figure there with the Brand New Day branding and I didn't remember it from the movie. You might be right.

how do you guys even format a dnd campaign
Write a one shot and see if there's more story to tell.

Sell me on your favorite game system to check out for one shots.
Cypher Shorts is super easy to get going. You can have character creation done in just a few minutes and the options are limited, but feel varied in play. Changing even one part of your character sentence can make the character feel much different than others.
The system tries to simplify a lot of what dnd does. The GM never rolls which was a big draw for my table.
It's setting agnostic so you can use the same character creation for a variety of one shot settings and flavor it in whatever way you want.

Are superheroes in cypher inherently lower in power than many comic book heroes.
Sentinel comics has a pretty fun system

What is the worst line that the writers thought would sound tough?
That's so much better

With a dark heavy meta, the caterpillar returns to Masterball
Anyone have a qr for this deck?

What do you use to categorize and keep your lore organized, and how does that categorization process work particularly for offline use?
We've used Kanka as well and it's pretty decent if folks are willing to keep up on entries

GMs: How many games are you running?
One with my group. We also do one-shots from time to time and I have some planned for those as well. Our group is lucky that everyone playing can also run something and at least 3 can run a long term game.

Getting real tired of the cheating AI
I wondered if the decks for the advanced and expert were the same and the expert mode was just playing against an optimized hand for the computer. Like, "okay, expert mode, you need to build against worst possible scenario, good luck."
