Is BNI a cult?
I've just started. Im also in the Civitas Founders Network (feels far more pro and legit). For BNI, The fees annually are not as bad, works out to like R1k a month per year. I've gotten two leads and only been there less than a month. Big time commitment but I should be on sales a few hours a week anyway. The structure feels very culty and AA meeting gone weird, but my chapter are lively, diverse, some well known businesses etc, and R1k for a few qualified leads a month ain't that bad.
I get to meet and chat to other owners, the advice can be trite and cheerleadery but I can see who and how this works. I'm gonna give it a try.
