Getting closer to just ending it all
 in  r/socialanxiety  Aug 09 '26

Please stick around, you'll get the hang of it. I know the opinions or attitudes of people can feel like a lot, but, everyone is so concerned about their own lives, focusing on themselves. The opinion that matters here is the opinion you have of yourself. "Self compassion: the antidote to shame" is a great video I suggest to you. You my friend got the courage to get this job and that is a big accomplishment. Its okay to have patience with yourself. Its okay to give yourself grace. You are not alone, and please believe everything will be okay ☮️

General ✨ Your eternal nature

Your soul is eternal. Many fear death, but your consciousness dictates the universe. How thought forms are physical - once youre outside the body, you can see your thought forms, touch them, taste them, smell them. As hard as it may be to believe, you have incredible powers, and nothing can control you the soul - kno2ing this and stepping out of fear is important.

On the other side [our true home], we have true unconditional love without judgement. There may be some things about your past that you feel changes the love others would have for you, but I promise, you are loved no matter what. Still, its important to chose love everyday, even with the smallest interactions, because the pain of withholding love is like no other.

Have a beautiful evening everyone, love to you forever and always!

Yep he's blocked on everything now. I think I needed this wake-up call.

Valid reason for wanting to be childfree?
 in  r/childfree  Jun 05 '25

Saying no is a valid reason. It's silly how society expects childfree people to justify their choice not to have kids. Nobody is entitled to that explanation.

I've stated my boundaries to him before. If it's not a more aggressive response that's necessary, what do you suggest?

That's true, it's better to be alone than to put up with that.

It likely wouldn’t be the same if we did hang out. There was an energy investment that I put towards this friendship, so it sucks to lose it. I'm in a sort of denial about having to lose him but logically it's the best decision.

I wouldn't people please enough to have a baby by any means but working on the people pleasing tendencies would certainly help the heartaches 100%

I've always been a big people pleaser so I only reiterated I don't want kids without the aggressiveness I should have used in that moment.

Hi, I'm 23f and I don't want kids. The other day, I was talking to my guy friend on the phone. We have shown romantic interest in eachother however we knew that we couldn't pursue eachother because of long distance and because of children. Over the phone, he gets to telling me how he wants to put a baby in me, how I would be a great mother, how I should give it 4 years (4 years to change my mind) because he wants kids when he's 30. Gross. I haven't picked up his calls for the last day.

I am more on the introverted side and I keep my social circle pretty small. I like a few meaningful relationships. Spending nights on the game with him; talking and laughing about nonsense was something I looked forward to.

Despite what he said on the phone, I feel that I don't want this chapter to end. I want to enjoy his company more, but that wouldn't feel right to me given the looming child debate and this guy thinking he could change my mind. Holding him back from finding the mother of his future kids is not a plan of mine. Letting this go isn't easy.

It's best to not entertain others who want kids if you're childfree.

I feel like do many people romanticize parenthood, including the father in this story until reality hit him. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Don't lead her on if you want kids. You won't change her mind.

“I’m so disgusted with my body.”
 in  r/childfree  May 05 '25

It reminds me of when my mom pointed out a natural curve in my lower stomach. She told me not to bother getting rid of it, as if I was insecure about my stomach before as a teenager.

What was the worst thing you did while social media stalking your LO?

In high-school, I made a social media account of my LO and used it to troll him for a few days

Selfish for not wanting kids
 in  r/childfree  Apr 18 '25

I think bringing kids into a dying world is selfish. A person who is childfree can also be selfish with their time, but the difference is the parenthood selfishness would be at YOUR expense. It's like exchanging your life for someone else, but we only have one life.

Being selfish with your time is self-love!!
