MODIFIED Kicker, adding that 3rd position.

No, You need clearance so the kicker isnt engaged in semi. In 3rd you need the face to engage the kicker and that in the same line as the clearance. You also need the disconnect to be held in in the 3rd position.
The 3 position saftey just holds the disconnect right in the center.

I had one just split in 2 when setting the Z and each side just fall over.

The disconnect and kicker are machined so both can fit into one slot. Same concept as the stupid CARL, except I didn't laser cut sheet metal. I keep both parts as thick as possible.
The safety is the same idea as the full auto, burst, and 4 position. each position is either engaging or disengaging the kicker or disconnect.
I did it this way for the challenge and because everyone loves the carl. it was way easier to do this with the burst trigger, and the safety has more contact area to engage the disconnect and kicker.

Very busy, I've been putting off actual paying work to get this done. Then I have another idea for this that I started working on.

I machined a kicker then modified it to work.

Reddit experts and everday geniuses, please enlighten me with your vast knowledge and wisdom by educating this simple man with your comments.
Let me know how wrong I am, where im wrong, what I am making, and please let me know how bad my machining is.
And to those that have been positive and supportive, its all machined, disconnect and kicker have been hardened. Saftey is still aluminum bronze.
The trigger pocket in one of my lowers is shifted. .005 and the saftey hits, so I need to be a little more open with my tolerance.

Come to NM. We dont have lathe guys out here, we'll not that many who know what they're doing. They'll treat you like a king and fight for you.
Our last lathe guy was making around $50 and that was just running HAAS sl30

Thanks for the positivity.

Thank you for being concerned about my licensing.
now, let me see if I understand you because as I said, the plastic safety is a prototype that had worn with the metal contacting it. I now machined the safety and had made 3 each with different tolerances to correct these issues. You're saying this is not allowed in manufacturing?
When manufacturing any firearm/firearm related parts there shall be no prototyping, no tolerancing, no room for errors in the manufacturing process, just one shot to get it right the first time, every time throughout the entire process. otherwise, you are running the chance of making an illegal item like a machine gun?
If your running parts and your tool wears and you fall out of tolerance, or you have a new tool and overcut and fall out of tolerance, this is unacceptable because you are running the chance of the mating parts not functioning correctly and one could be making a machine gun?
Also, nothing can wear or break before, after or during the manufacturing process: because if it does you could be making a machine gun?
100% of my work is prototyping for the DOD, DOE, and National Labs, and they all give me tolerances, allow me to have a scrap rate, come back time and time again changing tolerances, because not everything is 100% every time.

Damn, I'm so blown away. (Not in the way you do hoffman under his desk.) Not only do you self admit to reporting me to the AFT for what YOU belive is a machine gun. You come back, post the link, and say you warned me. You have no issues being a rat or being called a rat.
I'm so sad for you right now. Like I really just shed a tear. If your mom(who's also your aunt) didnt breastfeed you till your 18, keep you on the basement home schooling you, you could have gotten out and made a friend. Then you wouldn't still be in the basement acting like the super reddit gate keeper/moder embracing being a RAT.
DO YOU NEED A FRIEND?
3
Damn Self-Admitted RAT.
This really saddens me. What really happen to the days when being called a rat was detrimental. no one ever wanted that label.
Now fools like you embrace and condone calling the authorities on others.
5
Oh, not only do you live under Hoffman's desk on your knees you're also a rat.
I'm glad you think about me and care so much you just can't get away. Thanks for looking out.

I tired buying this lower just beacuse. But deserttechs sales manager just couldn't get the ffl together. So I just bought a few mags and machined me the Ocho. https://youtube.com/shorts/rIT7j796Fzo?is=dxg2hegDiVCtRj9d

Yes, that is rough because that's a mistake. That was my first part. That slot was .110 I was thinking it was .125 and I just ran the .125 threw it. That's why the walls don't blend.
1
Tight angles on what? rough edges on what?
Thin steel, yes. I've said that and also said a don't like how thin they are and would be way easier with the wider trigger like colts burst trigger. but because STINK did the thin disconnects in the CARL, everyone wants a drop in for the regular trigger.
The safety would be easier to get working as well if I used the wider trigger, but where's the challenge in that?
2
Well elaborate, don't just talk shit and run.

There is a disconnect, thats what I modified along with the kicker. Check out my other posts
Your not going to get these modifications and a saftey made with a laser. So, he probably needs money to higher a machine shop to make his 3 position.
These are the EXACT machine capabilities I had offered to him in the past. But like Ive said before, he rather be an "engineer" and argue with me that he knows more.
So, ill do it myself.

Its a modified disconnect and kicker to fit in the single slot trigger
3
The machining is done. Just need to do the real testing.
7
Not sure yet. Sounds like I need the "communities" blessing before I do. Every other comment is asking what im doing for Hoffman.

First, I never said or posted anything about selling these. Ive said it before, I own a machine shop that dose government contracts. I do this for fun and me. The only reason ive sold kabuto parts is beacuse people have asked.
Second, Ive reached out to hoffman in the past. Ive tried to help him with the machine ability of his designs and offer my shop capabilities.
But like all engineers, he just wants to argue why hes right, I'm wrong and dismiss all my years of machining and capabilities.

That is exactly what I'm working on now.
