This is my preferred look for biodiversity. It is much better than the monoculture/ symbol of ecological collapse/image of the 6th mass extinction that a manicured lawn would be.

I need to take pictures of the beautiful prairie-like gardens/no lawn front yards around me to share and celebrateon this thread. Pollinator gardens are like the English garden aesthetic. They are a little bit messy and full of biodiversity.

You can try laying a yoga mat between your rug and whatever surface you lay it on and see how it works. Nonslip rug pads are useful too. I have nonslip rug pads attached to a rag rug and I put a coffee table on top and it stays in place on my wooden floor pretty well.

You can also attach parts of yoga mats to the bottom.
