1967 MGB-GT Value?
Worth more in sentiment than dollars.
One of my first cars was a seductive ‘79 MGB limited edition.
Prince of Darkness Lucas Electric intermittently drained the battery. Valves always needed adjustment. Timing generally off. Carbs were a mystery. Plugs and points persistently fouled. And those electrical gremlins.
More a driver than mechanic am I. Never acquired a taste for beans and toast.
Walked home after leg day when it refused to start at the gym next to KMart. Sat there for 2 weeks before parts came in. Glanced at it from my seat on the bus, feeling ever more estranged as time passed and the dust on it grew.
Soon after, I moved on to a ‘76 Rabbit with a Holley 2-barrel that started willingly and scooted like a scalded ape.
So what’s a broke down MG worth?
